I am also facing the same problem, my phone is also unable to transfer file from Internal/microsd to OTG pendrive. Please share the technique if somebody has been able to resolve this issue.

1:enable the developer options and activate "USB Debugging" in it.
2:always when you connect the otg just change the USB connection options from charging to "PTP".And then again into "MTP"

AnonD-596466, 16 Oct 2016my mobile getting heat and slow charging wat about urs Bro while charging, go to settings> battery. If its written changing on AC, it'll charge fast but if its written charging on usb, it'll slow down because ur phn is detecting as if u r charging through pc. So use ur original charger, if it shows charging on USB, then disconnect the power and turn it on. Note: for fast charging, u should use original charger plus it should show charging on AC

On other hand mediatek SoC is not synced, optimised,Integrated ( it is just bundled together). Hence redmi will definitely preform better.
