12nm should be fine if you only do social media. gaming would drain a bit but it wont be a problem if used during charge. (do it at your risk)

    I am looking forward to buy this phone. Is it bad or any new updates about this phone?. I heard some people say there is a battery drain problem.

Instead of 3 just give us one, but let it be the best you can give - that's it. Battery backup is also good enough for me. I experienced no battery drain whatsoever. I tinkered heavily with the phone and the drop in battery percentage was marginal. May be the culprits are not Moto apps but google bloat. I use a Netguard firewall from FDroid store and have disabled most Google crapware. Also I was mostly connected to WiFi, with my mobile data on as well.

Most of the critics of this phone are are mostly cry babies wanting more and more. If you have understood the specs and are satisfied with it go ahead. The phone's awesome smooth and fast, camera is wonderful, battery is fantastic. The things that you will NOT have in this phone are high fps for camera(i.e. slow motion, more than 30 fps video), fast charging. But it is good enough. Leave the phone undisturbed while charging and in 1 hour you will have more than enough juice to last more than 1 day. I am more than satisfied, but I am having some issues with slightly inaccurate gps (error of 1km apprx), but I think that is common in the beginning or just my device. Will see.

              The main reason for power consumption is the processor. The maximum TDP of unisoc T700 is 10W.

              Previously is used moto e4 plus. It had mediatek MT6737. The maximum TDP of mt6737 is 7W.

              Now improved Android versions also sucking more juice. So processor needs to drain less than previous.

              Motorola should consider an 5W/6W TDP processor for its next generation e series device. It should be mediatek/snapdragon.

              We don't need multiple camera's. No blah blah things for e series. We need better battery backup. That is the main thing everyone expect from e series.

              E40 also giving a decent backup. But not like e4 plus. E40 is like silver. E4 plus is like diamond in terms of battery backup. Since e4 plus is outdated, I can't use it further. So I bought e40.

              I guess someone from Motorola read this review as part of market input gathering.

                Now wifi also consuming little more power. They need to fix this else the phone's battery will be useless

                  please disable the com.motorola.ccc app from device. its a bloatware created by motorola to send offers and news via push notifications.The name may be "Motorola Notifications" or "com.motorola.ccc". It consumes more power in the background without our knowlwdge.

                    Review update:

                    Still battery is draining due to poor signal quality. Battery optimisation is not done in a correct way on this device i guess. Why i am telling is they disable flash light when the battery is low.

                      Review update:
                      I experienced the battery drain with jio sim. It is due to poor coverage in our area. In one night 11% charge gone. To fix this force the sim1 to use lte only .

                      Goto dialer and type *#*#4636#*#* and click phone information. In the top you can select the sim card.(phone0 is sim1)

                      After selecting sim card
                      In the "set preferred network type" select "LTE only" if you are using jio sim. Then close that window. Now you fixed battery drain issue with jio sim card.!

                        Review updates:
                        1) this device is having wifi calling and volte features. Airtel didn't provide it to me. So I pinged them in twitter(airtel_india handle). Then they activated both instantly. Now both volte and wifi calling works in my device. I hope jio will work.
                        2) I never added any third party cover and tempered glass. I put it down one time. Nothing happened. That is moto's hardware quality.
                        3) Battery is again amazing. Please use greenify app for extra power savings.
                        4) night light mode is there. It can be activated on schedule.
                        5) blue light filter also available. That also can be activated based on a schedule.
                        6) call recording and spam call filtering is available with the default dialer. But call recording will announce before recording. That is a privacy friendly approach. I like it.
                        7) please don't try to root this device. It could lead to brick/malware. As of now there is no root method is available.
                        8) changed the refresh rate to 60hz for extra power saving.
                        9) disable Bluetooth scanning and wifi scanning for even more power saving.
                        10) DND mode is working perfectly.
                        11) you can gift this phone to someone. They won't get disappointed. I love all the features of this phone.

                          It has no photo gallery of it's own. Apart this matter it's a good set. You can go for it.

                              review after 2 days use:
                              - there is one notification led available. it is used only for missed call, new messages, new app notifications and low battery notification. not for charging indication.
                              - moto peek display feature missing.
                              - there is no sudden charge drop from 100% to 95% as reported by some users. maybe they need to install the updates to solve this issue.
                              - battery lasts more than 2 days on minimal usage. for normal usage it comes around 1.5 day
                              - Wifi(2.5ghz) download speed is as same as Snapdragon 695. there is no speed difference.
                              - battery takes much time to charge. but it is expected one.
                              - fingerprint sensor is accurate compared to other moto variants. it recognizes even if there is little(not much) moisture in hand.
                              - i played some mid range games. working well without any lag. people can use this as their primary phone. 64 gb is more than enough for anything.
                              - no other manufacturer is giving the same configuration and quality for this price.
                              - camera is having night mode. that is somewhat good. producing crisp pictures for the money we spent.
                              - call quality is good. there is no issue with mic/speaker.

                                first impression is good.
                                things noted:
                                1. battery backup is very good.
                                2. no dolby atmos available but sound is good. 3.5 mm jack is a plus
                                3. camera is cost effective.
                                4. installed two updates(jun,sep-2022) after login. there is no wifi coverage issues. checked with other devices too.
                                5. fingerprint sensor: there is no kirk sound if it succeed. only it kirks if it fails to detect right finger. seems little slow compared to high end devices.
                                6. there is no lag in performance for normal usage.
                                7. some bloatwares are there(moj, facebook, sharechat, games..). but they can be simply removed.
                                8. fm radio is available. can be played through earphone only. pickup of signal is good.
                                9. 51 gb internal storage free after installing 2 apps(firefox, greenify).
                                10. ram is 4 gb and it can't be extended.
                                11. gps pickup indoor is good in my home(within seconds it fixed my position).
                                12. diplay is butter smooth

                                let me put more comments after 1 week of usage.

                                      Too weak in terms of network connection while local brands can connect easily. There are some bloatwares running involuntary and unstoppable and cause of overheating. Will planning to root this phone like my infinix hot 10i with massive bloatware in hidden.
