Bought this at Walmart because my high $ Samsung had a catastrophic accident. If anyone complains about this phone, I don't know where else you can get this kind of performance for $39.95. Obviously, straight talk (and other carriers) subsidize the cost of this phone to get you to sign up with them. This certainly won't be my keeper phone but as an emergency phone I can't complain.

It works very well but the battery drains quick.

gospelmidi, 20 Feb 2021Feb. 19, 2021: Walmart has Moto e6 every day for $59.95. ... more I agree; plenty of smartphone for such a cheap price.

Bought mine 2 days ago and it is working very well.

Mine has 32gigs and apps download and open very fast.

puppykicker, 18 Apr 2021You are correct in how you did what you did. However, SD... moreThe phone will still work if the micro SD card fails or removed, but all apps and data stored on the card won't be accessible. For all apps installed on the card, the icons for those apps will be grayed out if card is removed or not working. Apps installed on the phone internal memory will still function, for example Chrome browser installed on internal will still function. I periodically backup my data anyway.

Also, the average life span for a micro SD card is 10 years. So assuming you use a micro SD card heavily it should last for at least 5 years. 5 years will most likely outlast this phone.

$99 for a factory unlocked phone + $25 for a Samsung micro SD card is a great deal.

However, SD card lifespan is measured in read/write cycles.
By making the card part of the internal memory, you are drastically shortening its lifespan.

Also, the card is now mated to that device, and will not work in any other.

If something happens to the device, the info on the card will not be able to be transfered to another device.
If something happens to the card, the data on it will be lost and the device will not function properly until the card is removed.

This is why it is not advisable to se a SD card as internal memory.

Anonymous, 18 Feb 2021Thanks for the suggestion and directions for increasing storage. Yw. Also, this phone works great on T-Mobile in the USA because VoLTE and Wifi calling works on T-Mobile. AND this phone has all of T-Mobile's LTE bands (2, 4, 5, 12, 66, 71) plus the LTE bands they aquired from Sprint (25, 26, 41). I have the unlocked version of this phone on T-Mobile and my phone connects to former Sprint LTE band 41 a lot, phone works great on this LTE band especially in areas where it is congested on other bands.

Correcting my previous post (no Edit available):
Page Plus Cellular resells access to the Verizon CDMA network. But a Page Plus support person validated IMEI numbers for three Straight Talk no-contract phones, which use the T-Mobile/Sprint CDMA network.

with no contract and no commitment.

Page Plus verified three IMEI numbers
as being compatible with their 3rd party

Talk phones are supposed to be.

Not a bad cheap phone. Works much better than I expected. Camera takes decent pics and video, not as good as high end but not bad. I knew when buying this that the 16gb internal storage is nothing, so here is what I did to make this phone work for me with enough storage and without lagging:

-I bought a Samsung EVO Select 256gb microsd card from Amazon for $25. Good fast micro sd card for a great price. The maximum this phone can handle is 256gb micro sd card.
-Powered up this phone, did the setup, and did all the updates.
-Powered off the phone and inserted sim card and micro SD card.
-Formatted micro SD card as internal storage.
-Set default storage option as micro SD card.
-Turned on developer options and selected "Force allow apps on external".
-Downloaded all my apps and they all installed on the micro SD card.

Only the default apps that came with the phone are installed on my phone's internal storage, everything else is on the micro sd card. Almost half of the 16gb is used by operating system and default apps. Phone runs great like this. Just make sure you pick a high speed and reliable micro SD card like the Samsung one I got.

Worst POS chunk of technology I've ever bought. Completely user-unfriendly, and it came without a user manual. I hate this phone so much, I went out and bought a burner, which I'm going to use for actual phone calls / texting. Motorola can go get effed - I will never buy another thing from them after this.

I will say it's pretty well fabricated, as I've thrown it into block walls out of frustration multiple times and it still "works".

As well as it ever did. Go to hell, Motorola.
