Just open the update file and install it. Mobile will restart after the update is completed.

faheem, 14 Aug 2014bro i want to buy new moto g... should i buy or not? plz tell medefinitely you can go for this phone without thinking twice. only downside is that it is not expandable but 16 Gig is whole lot of storage moreover you can attach pen drive for videos and more. No other phone around its price range can beat it anyhow.

Talking about specs and overall functionality, its a good phone. But because ever increasing competition in market it is quite difficult to decide whether this phone is best buy or not. If compared with some local and chinese brands like micromax, karbonn and similar others I'll say definitely one must choose motorola as its a global brand and just to maintain their reputation in global market they have to make better quality products. Moreover battery of a smartphone is something that deplets with time so they have a very limited age and particularly in small brands these batteries exhaust much much early as compared to global brands like samsung, sony , moto or apple.

While buying a new device guys only think of price tag and dont consider other important aspects that give an idea of the age of a particular phone like - battery, service centres, and durability. What happens after that is those guys who go for small brands then jump to better ones after a year or two however some guys like that - "keep device changing in same local brand" attitude.

So the final word is if any of you is looking for a good device in a long term then only go for some big brands that give actually what they promised.

and for this phone(moto g) you must compare HTC desire 310 and 516, xperia m and xperia sp, samsung grand, core 2, and s4 mini.

definitely its one of the best phones at its price right now available in market but still check everything properly before buying for avoiding any type of disappointment in future.I am using this phone from past 4 months and believe me it puts most phones from other brands in shame. Drawbacks are definitely there (like non expandable, non removable battery, lower bezel below screen is very big) but I am still satisfied with it.

some specs that must be taken care of during comparison are -

                                  RAM, and processor (most obvious)
PPI- Pixels Per Inch (gives a proper idea of screen quality)
                                  Battery backup.
Benchmark tests (gives an idea of performance and overall smoothness)
Last but not least - don't ever forget to check user reviews of each device you are comparing.

                                  happy comparison...
