I have been using the Moto G 1st Gen for almost 3 years now and have to say that I am absolutely pleased with it. It somethimes switches off for no reason, which is annoying, but acceptable for such an old phone.
The design is good IMO, the display quality is still very nice and the plastic back doesn't increase slipping.
Apart from better pictures there's absolutely nothing I really miss about it.
It actually makes it pretty hard for me to find a phone similar to as it was back then now.

I have the first gen moto g for about 2 years now and I honestly feel like smashing it with a sledge hammer as many times as it takes for it to disintegrate. it takes terrible pictures, the processor speed will literally make you want to rip your hair out and im not sure if this is just me, but the smooth material-like cover on the back cover makes it more bound to fall which can be extremely irritating. only thing i like about it is its gorilla glass screen, it has survived many on purpose smashes against whatever i could smash it on at that point. the first gen moto g is the antagonist of every phone ive had so far. if youre considering buying a first gen moto g, stop right now and look otherwise, you will definitely regret buying this. I highly recommend everyone stays away from this handheld hell device.

not being able to add memory is a terrible idea
rubbish phone not enough space for basic apps, just running facebook is an issue

I bought a mobile - Moto G 2nd generation during this year beginning. Initially the mobile was good and photos are fine to see. But later on it slowly getting off and the main mother board becomes dead. It is merely the manufacturing defect. I went to the nearest service centre in T Nagar, where they just checked the mobile and kept for more than 10 days and informed me that the spare was on the way. But later they returned the cell and told the software was totally off and not serviceable. I really wondered how can it possible within the short time of purchase such a big company like Moto. No reply your service people. I am planning to go consumer court for remedy.

Had the Moto g 3rd gen for a week and we'll impressed iPhone 5 packed up got this for £99 much better battery last 2 days very good phone

Seriously, Moto G is the best phone i have ever bought.
Never never dissapointed me. Cant say how many times it dropped. Im not even scared when it hits the floor :).
Maybe i cant recommend it now to new users, because it's an old model. But i dont even think about changing it until it breaks. :)

Excellent phone Moto G2 16 gb.
No problem at all from last 2.8 years.
100% satisfaction as compare to samsung phones.

Please don't buy MOTO G Any generation mobile because they are having inserted very low quality motherboard and after few days usage of your mobile, you start getting hanging phone more frequently and one day it will cost 80% of your mobile due to mother board issue and need to replacement completely which would be too much costlier better if you purchase new one. I am experiencing problem moto g 3rd gen after one year usage of my mobile with very careful.

purchased in march 2014 and still works, the best phone i ever had, now buy a moto G4 plus, but my 1st moto g works great
