Firstly the issue is not about the battery backup, its about the time taken to get the battery charged.
I was previously using Samsung S3 and used to get charged upto 80% in 1 hr and here I am unable to charge atleast around 40% in 1hr. Not to compare with S3 , I just gave an example to understand the difference.

Nani, 21 Jul 2014Hello , Its taking a lot of time for my moto G to get charg... moreNani, this is really odd, specially since you are using your original Motorola Charger, let's try the following, please allow the phone to charge at least 4h straight, un-interrupted (not doing anything, preferably turned off), this shall charge the battery in full, also make sure you are using a wall outlet and there are no applications running in the background. Hope this improves your battery life.

This seems to be a coverage issue not a phone issue. I would suggest to contact your carrier and check out the coverage in your region, perhaps there is no H or H+ in all areas.
