we will definitely accept the slowness of micro sds rather than having to store everything in cloud......we want our data readily at hand than some cloud,

moto g with 8/16 gb ???? this is the reason why motorola and google sucks, thank u samsung n sony for making this world a better place,
one guy commented about the slow sluggishness of micro sd cards, may be he never heard of ultra high speed micro sds,

$20 - $50 more on top of that just to bring it up to
the amount of memory comes stock on this phone? Not
me. They are saying the 16 Meg version of this phone
is going to be around $199. That should be plenty for
anyone, & stock memory performs better than card
memory.

Looks like Motorola being part of Google also means, following the Nexus theme of not having an SD card. Why manufacturers don't understand that the cloud model is not really suitable for most countries due to bandwidth and high cost of Internet data remains a mystery. The very reason that SD card remains an useful option is that you have content far greater than your phone capacity, and upload and download to the cloud storage is not really viable.

I can't wait for this phone to be released over in the US. It's so worth it !!! Tired of paying $$$ for an unlocked phone. Definitely no contracts for me either!

a phone without an SD card is still an amazing phone. Please bear in mind that SD cards are one of the reason an android phone crawls, if ever your robot crawls, don't blame the OS, maybe blame your affordable, available and quite reliable but slow SD card, XPeria phones have SD card for example but only for other media except app because of performance issues with SD cards. it is quite reasonable for this phone to omit SD cards once and for all :)
and don't forget OTG just in case you really need an SD card hehe

howarsh, 03 Nov 20138 gb and no SD card = crap1000 times that. I consider myself price sensitive, and that's the reason why I will NOT buy a phone that lacks an SD card slot.
