Had this phone for almost a week now, it has top notch battery life, display is very bright and clear, software is smooth no bloatware installed, cameras are surprisingly very good compared to other low end 13mp phones, very good low light conditions with a little tweaking, hdr is is kinda off so do not use it, it plays and runs everything, front speaker is very loud, louder than most flagship phones although for some reason the notifications not so much loud it can be fixed with an update, overall great phone at such a bargain price! happy with it

using this method will delete the user data.
switch off your phone
now press volume up + power button simultaneously. ( you'll enter into bios mode)
here using volume buttons switch to recovery mode and press power button to select
now wait till a screen saying no commands comes.
press power button followed by volume up in a quick manner.
here, choose wipe data/factory reset.
choose frome futher modes and go on.

Mobile can HEAT due to following:
- using turbo charging
- using the phone while turbo charging
- covering up your phone with additional covers/shell/skins during charging
- using non motorola charger
- using graphics intensive apps
- loading / working with lot of apps at same time.
- putting your phone in/on hot cooking appliances like tawa,kadhai,cooker,microwave oven etc.
- exposing it to direct sun during afternoon for prolonged period.
Above are some of reasons for phobe heating. Though it seems simple and f*****h , but there are people who do it and complain about heating problem.

The phone would be solid, but if you receive a defective one (Like I did), their warranty service is atrocious, your only option is to have it repaired which leaves you without a phone for an extended period of time.

Don't you dare try to compare the Moto G4 to something like the Note 7. This phone is nothing like it and this phone definitely doesn't explode like the Note 7.
