The SnapDragon 662 (underclocked 680 with a generally better ISP) on my Redmi 9T works just fine. I don't recall it chugging, lagging on day-to-day use, or more intensive tasks like video calling (which uses almost every part of the chip/phone in general) or some lightweight or moderate gaming for hours on end, yet you don't see people calling it a proper mid-range chip, it's more of an upper entry-level/ lower mid-range chip in my eyes.

A mid-range phone for me is generally anywhere between 280-320$, anything higher than 240$ is lower mid-range, and 320-380 is upper-mid-range, calling a chip made for 200$ phones a 'mid-ranger' is just stupid to me, and to an extent would be like calling a compact a mid-size and it's just incomprehensibly flabbergasting once you get into dissecting chips.

A lower-entry chip is something that lags on a more regular basis on lighter tasks, something more like a Unisoc T610, a Helio G35, or a... god forbid, an Exynos 850, not a SnapDragon 680; things you see on 150$- phones, not 200$ ones.

I seriously hate qualcomm for releasing this snapdragon 680, just let these old A73 cores die already, modernize your entry chips!
