Roboy, 03 Feb 2025Did you get it? Please share your experience.Not your person, but I also bought the G45 about two weeks ago. I was on the fence between this and the Poco X6 Neo (owing to its symmetric bezels). This guy won out, I guess.
Pros:
Personally, the bottom chin is not bad as initially presumed. You learn to ignore it with time.
The battery life is surprisingly good.
It does get warm while charging or playing heavy games for too long. Then again, it is so mild that I consider it a pro.
Cons:
The display resolution (PPI?) is worse than I had anticipated. It can be ignored at times, but more often than not the pixels stick out like a sore thumb (say, on your wallpaper of choice).
It does come with bloatware, however minimal, like Moto Secure and what not. It is not as much as MIUI, perhaps, but still... (It can be disabled, however).
Very few custom ROMs so far (better than X6 Neo; worse than the M6 Pro 5G). Even the CMF with its Dimensity has one.
There might be other things I might have overlooked like the 5G, performance, etc.
I wonder what the Poco M6 Pro 5G might have been like. I did not go with it as it seemed expensive at that price: Samsung fabricated chip, virtual proximity sensor, and a larger shell.
The CMF and X6 Neo both have Dimensity and AMOLED screens which might or might not be good for the long term.

Guys from India. I have noticed that updating Phone (Dialer app by Google) from play store, drops the call recording feature. I suggest you guys, to disable auto updates for the Dialer app. If you updated it by mistake, then you can uninstall updates, clear the appdata and then disable auto updates from play store. Although you would lose your older recordings.
Btw, this is 6th Jan 2025 and I still haven't received December update. Motorola is slow as usual.

But in India, it is a niche and an extra expense. Even many high end smartphones in India doesn't come with NFC. Some international brands that have NFC, even omit it in the Indian version just because of this reason.

well today received Nov patch security update..
updates are pretty good from MOTO. seems to be perfect.
getting updates once in 2 months...phone is awesome and google gms and google store disabled phone is blazzingly fast and battery comes 4 days.

Naveen, 25 Nov 2024Does moto G45 support NFC in Flipkart it shows no NFC, but... moreHello naveen. NFC is useless in India. The main use of NFC outside India, seems to be for payments and contact sharing. In India, we almost use UPI through QR codes. And share contacts via WhatsApp.
