I just got the update of 7.1.1 and my phone lost the network and I keep getting this message; "error while searching for networks" any solutions please ?
And how can I flash my phone to get back 6.0.1 so I can get network works back ?
I've tried all the solutions to make network work but it didn't :-(

I bought it because the promised update to Nougat, which is a pretty decent version to me. Yes, I know Android Oreo is the latest and Android P is just around the corner, but I was on a very tight budget.
The thing is, I turned the phone on, and then a series of updates started coming... but no Nougat. I thought Motorola had failed me. One month without any new update. Until today. Just a couple of hours ago I receive the promised Android 7.1.1 update along with the April Security Patch.
So don't lose hope. Wait a bit more. Getting the update so long after the rest is just ridiculous but it's happening. Talk about a slooooow update rollout...

explain how it can get nougat. i have had this phone since 2016, and it received the 6.0.1 update (several months ago). there is no nougat update, it just says 'your software is up to date'.

AnonD-586442, 08 Apr 2018Phone is so good but why not nougat update come at 1602 Please visit us nearest service centre and they will update ur device to nougat 7.1.1. I did the same thing with latest security patch of March 2018..Also once your phone is updated to nougat please do a hard reset and then u can use it

B... moreMoto G4 play can't recognize your sim because when it was 6.1.1 they had 3 options 2g 3g & 4g but after the update they only have one option that stands for LTE/CDMA if ur sim is not 4g it will not work i will get my 4g sim tommorow & i hope it'll work :)
