Any graphics intensive functions will heat up the device. Camera is a secondary function of phones. If you use it like a pro camera, it is bound to heat. Only high end devices have power, GPU processor to sustain without heating.
Also additional skin/ covers add up to this problem.
Your complaints are just inappropriate.

I am totally disappointed with the battery life of this phone. Battery drains even when phone is on standby with data/wifi turned on. Doesn't last more than 8 hrs with this setting even though I have "battery optimized" all apps and turned of wifi and bluetooth scanning for device location. Camera is decent enough but heats up with longer use.
