It does not have built in compass and gyro.
Its a shame that such basic features are not in phone
Apps like google sky map do not work on this phone

got this phone 4 days back n I must say I couldn't be any happier
this phone is awesome the display is superb gaming experience is good although their is a bit heating but that's manageable
UI is stock n I just love it
camera both front n back are too good
battery back up is good n u get a turbo charger which is really cool
can handle any number of apps n multitasking OS smooth
front firing speaker is loud without any distortion
finally if u want a phone that will last u 3_4 years with regular updates then go for moto
my brother owns a 1st gen which works great till date

In my moto G4 plus, I tried to record voice calls with many call recording apps available on android play store. But the other party voice in recording is not properly audible at all. Only my voice is loud enough. Other party voice has a lot of noise and makes the sound practically inaudible. I want to know is this case only with me or others also facing this problem. I request the readers to try the call recording apps on their moto g4 plus and post your review about call recording on this phone.. Thankyou..

Waited a long for redmi note 3 so I go with this one...
I am really happy with this device till now. No problem at all.
U get great 16 mp camera with the combination for PDAF and laser auto focus which results fantastic images processing.
Battery is pretty Good, Can Get screen time out of 6. xx hours with 15% battery remaining.
Fingure print is really fast and of Good quality.
Motorola confirms Android N and O updates for this device , So sit relax for next 2 years.
Overall you Get Great package in 15k.
Its better Go with brand name instead of some newly come Competitors offering some extra features with cheap build quality.

Why Redmi Note 3 wins hands down over Moto G4 plus. Most of us hope our 'latest' smartphone to stay 'latest' for at least 6 months. Would you buy an older technology gadget for a higher cost just for the camera and gorilla glass ?.
1- Redmi Note 3 has a better battery (4050mah) compared to 3000mah on Moto. Also Redmi Note 3 has one of the highest density batteries.
2- Redmi has a better screen-to-body ratio (72.4%) compared to 71.2% on Moto. Meaning a better use of front space.
3- Redmi has an electronic compass which Moto lacks.
4- Redmi supports 192kHz audio at 24-bit which moto lacks.
5- Redmi is definitely thinner phone among the two (8.65mm vs moto at 9.8mm)
6- Redmi has an all aluminium built while Moto uses plastic. (eh)
So this was the basic comparison. But whats inside ? Lets see below.
Now over to some geek talks.
1- RAM
Both have 3 gigs of ram, but here SD617 on G4 only supports 800mhz frequency ram, redmi has a 933mhz frequency ram doing the job.
2- Memory Bandwidth
SD 650 has 14.9gb/s of memory bandwidth while SD617 has a mere 6.4gb/s.
3- Cores
SD 650 has far efficient A72 cores which are by any means better than A53 cores on SD617. These cores do the heavy lifting and help keep the phone cooler.
4- Video support
SD650 supports 4k video recording and decoding while sd617 does only 1080p max.
5- Memory channels
SD650 has dual channel memory while SD617 has a single channel support only.
6- Version of eMMC
Basically the memory speed. Sd650 has eMMC 5.0 while sd617 has older eMMC 4.5 (even older than sd801 of 2014)
7- SD650 supports Tela2k resolution for miracast while sd617 doesnt.
8- GPU on sd650 (adreno 510) is far more better, faster and battery efficient compared to the weak gpu on sd617 (adreno 405) (yes weaker than 2014's sd801)
9- Version of OpenVG
OpenVG is used to render 2D graphics on mobile processors. sd650 has version 3.0 while sd617 has version 1.1 (yes again lost to sd801).

Honest Review Of MOTO G4 Plus(32/3 GB)
Overall 4.1/5
1. Build Quality(4.8/5)
=>The Phone has a Sleek design which makes it quite sturdy in hands. It's having the metal look frame which is of plastic material and the back panel is of rubber.
It is slim at 7.99 mm and a light weight maching as compared to other phones at this range.
2. Display(4.7/5)
=>MOTO G4 Plus has 5.5" Full HD 1080p vivid TFT display which produces quite sharp and vibrant images. The Resolution of the phone is 1080 x 1920 pixels,
it's having adaptive brightness for optimising brightness level for available light which saves little bit battery of the phone!
It's having the Gorilla Glass 3 protection which is good but its not having the Scratch Resistant Display. So you have to apply a screen guard to protect the screen from scratches.
3. Camera(4.8/5)
=>MOTO G4 Plus has a decent Rear Camera having 16MP at the rear which can shoot sharp photos in any light featuring laser auto focus and PDAF which is the best at this price range.
The Front Camera(5MP) is also good. The quality of the images are Decent. Its having "Professional Mode" for Advanced Options.
4. Finger Print Sensor(4.8/5)
=>The Finger Print Sensor is as Fast as anything and also Accurate which is impressive. The sensor can recognise your fingerprints from any angle.
But it does not work when your hands are wet.
The Sensor is not a physical button placed at the bottom of the screen. The added advantage of this is unlike other phones having Finger Print sensor at front, you have to just tap it rather than pressing it for a long time.
Also it works only a sensor and not a home button, so sensor can be placed at the back as it looks ugly at the front of the screen.
5. Battery(3.8/5)
=>MOTO G4 Plus has only 3000mAh non-removable battery which is quite disappointing as it supports fast charging through a TurboPower charger(25W).
The battery life is neither too good nor too bad, it's just OK in my view.
The screen on time gives 4-5hrs of battery backup.
6. Performance(4.6/5)
=>MOTO G4 plus uses QUALCOMM's SNAPDRAGON 617 SoC which is an Octacore Chip(Quadcore 1.5Ghz Cortex A53 CPU + Quadcore 1.2Ghz Cortex A53 CPU).
You also get a 32 GB ROM/3GB RAM or 16GB ROM/2GB RAM.
I did not faced any lags in Normal Gaming and running Apps!
but MOTO can increase 617 to atleast 650 SoC as the device gets little bit warm but its OK for normal usage
One important thing for gamers, you cannot play high ending games for long time as the machine heats up like Hell.
7. Operating System(4.9/5)
=> I am the fan of Stock Android which is best in the MOTO G4 Plus. The main plus point of the MOTO G4 Plus is its pure, lagfree, bugfree(but sadly not highly customisable as compared to other custom ROM's) OS. It gives You Stock like experience!
It runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
I did not faced any lags in the User Interface.
The Multitasking of the phone is really good.
The Gallery App is not there in the MOTO G4 Plus as it has been replaced by Google Photos App which is not the best but just a OK.
Music or Audio Files are handled by Google's Play Music App which is also just a OK.
Company has Promised to give the Android N updates as fast as possible.
8. Accessories
a. TurboPower Charger(4.7/5)
b. Headphones(3/5)
Guys, MOTO G4 Plus's Headphones are very dissappointing, as the TurboPower Charger is Good, it charges MOTO G4's 3000mAh Battry pretty fast!
9. Other Features
=> MOTO G4 Plus is a dual sim(4G on SIM 1 + 3G on SIM 2) which Supports Both Nano and Micro Sim Cards.
=> Has Bluetooth 4.1 Low Energy, Dual Band Wi-Fi b/g/n, GPS, GLONASS, USB-OTG and FM Radio.
=> Has Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient Light Sensor, and Gyroscope!
THINGS THAT ARE MISSING
a. COMPASS
b. BAROMETER
c. TEMPRETURE SENSOR
d. It is not WATER RESISTANT Phone
e. NFC
f. Has only one speaker
CONCLUSION
=> MOTO G4 Plus are perfect for those who have Best Camera in the range of 15k, Stock Android Experience, Latest Updates, Fast Charging.
Overall it is the best phone in this price range!
