And no matter what software optimization you put, when it comes to games and similar heavy resource to tasks, you need more horsepower.
Moto G 3rd gen UI was more smoother than Xperia M4 Aqua. But when it comes to games and heavy resource tasks, the more powerful processor of the M4 Aqua makes it faster.

Please do the following steps:
1. update to latest one.
2. if possible reset your device after update
3. Remove .mkv files (if any) in your internal storage
4. clear ram before u start the game

Are you even aware that heating / over heating also depends on the weather? You don't - I am quite sure.
Your phone will heat up in a different way in a desert than in a hill station. It is very very very basic science.... No need to open that tab and check Youtube for it...

Which is why among all fablets - Sammy rules - because they have truly understood the concept of phablets and developed special apps for them... Where as phablets like Optimus G Pro are just big phones...

Some people using redmi note3 but commenting on moto g4 plus....which android phn doesnt heat?.. Heating depends on various factor.....if i m in alaska will motog4 plus heat up to 41 degree??.. Dont use phones for gaming.

AnonD-168433, 02 Jun 2016I played asphalt 8 airborne for 40 min in moto g4 plus and ... moreIts already in the highest graphic settings in my rn3.....and talking about moto g4plus which my sister has...it heats up im just 7 odd minutes of gaming asphalt 8.....temperature reaches to 48 or even 50 in highest settings....but in medium settings temperature is restricted to 42..so moto g4plus is not for heavy users and gaming

Didn't tried Nova 3 on moto g4 plus. Next time when you playing asphalt 8 on your redmi note 3 turn your graphic quality to highest in the game settings and check again.
