This is the reason why Xiaomi is not famous in Western markets. Western markets favour quality and real life performance, not the spec sheet

You have very high expectations..
And the 617 scores 40k in antutu, that is a respectable score. If you are so concerned about processing power, you should look at higher end phones.

I guess everyone cant do a Xiaomi. Xiaomi and Oneplus phones have low price and high specs compared to rivals.
Oneplus 2 had snapdragon 810 at a low price compared to rival 810 phones. That doesnt make 810 a midrange phone.
Even the Xiaomi redmi note 3 has got issues. Xiaomi was so busy putting a good chipset that they compromised in many other areas
Its because of this that Xiaomi isnt that popular in Western markets compared to Indian and other Asian markets.
From what I know, most Indian consumers want high specs at a low price. Quality isnt important. All that is important is specs sheet, and this is where Xiaomi excels.
Other people dont mind specs, they look at other features and real life perfomance, and quality
