I bought this phone in the summer of 2023 during a vacation to replace a broken Pixel. It was cheap but a remarkably capable phone.
The 6.8" high resolution (yes) screen is insanely sharp for the price point and pleasant to use indoors. The processor is fast enough for general use of a phone (i.e. browsing, messaging, calling). Surprisingly the camera wasn't terrible but it certainly isn't up to Pixel standards by any stretch of the imagination.
The battery life is remarkably good.
Can it run games? No idea. I don't get why people want to waste their life on games.
Last, it runs stock Android (or as close as you can possibly get... Even better than Pixel). Even compared to the Pixel it does well.

brusselar, 06 May 2024Upgrade from Android11 to 12 or 13 is Failing My European (bought in Denmark) G51 is on Android 12 with a last security update of April 1, 2024. You can't upgrade to Android 13 unless you unlock the bootloader and install a "custom ROM".
If there isn't enough space available the upgrade will fail. Check to see if you have a few GB of space free.

5G works as long as the physical area I am in has antennas covering 5G speed.
If not its switches over to 4G automatically and goes even lower if the area has really bad coverage (ie remote forests, mountains etc etc.
In addition to that I also needed to sign up to a 5G service with my provider of cellular phone services (not the manufacturer of this phone).
If youre not getting 5G Id say it has nothing to do with Motorola, but more with what kind of cellphone service youve signed up for and if the area has gotten its 5G antennas installed // Good luck

Would not reccomend if you care about performance. It very often slows to a crawl and lags alot. Taking pictures is a pain because for some reason the camera app has to do some weird "processing". The processing itself makes the phone very slow and there are moments ive had to wait literal minutes just to be able view one picture that ive taken.

this phone and 60s are best cheap deals for 22 and well n2 23,eu needs new law that 50% of all phones should be assembled in eu.

This Mobile Phone Has a Problem With Water you get drop 0f water from your hands and the shuted down you have to pull back cover off to get, you need the tool to open tray to take out the sin card check it put back into the tray them put the back into side of the phone , them Re Boot your mobile phone , them weight some time for your to start up again. I have this model of Motorola G51 G5 mobile phone you need the tool to open the side of the mobile phone to do this.

Good phone for the price, specially for people who hate bloatware (and can't afford a Pixel). Apparently there is Android 12 released for this device, but I don't see any update notifications, wonder why (I don't have Wifi, only cellular data). My Other Moto / Nokia devices had no problem updating over cellular.

Worst phone ever used, worst company selling policies ever came across. Company does not allow to replace or refund.
The phone lacks a lot. no one expects to run from pillar to post for a new phone.

Only complaint is the mike on this phone

5g not working. They not releasing 5g ota.
Must tell lennovo, it's a shitty company for delaying this
