256gb storage does not look enough for this phone..

I would have ditched AMOED Super AMOLED POLED and gone for this, if the battery was 5000mah and weight below 170gm.. Preferrably 160 gms. But sadly they haven't done it and made weight heavy of course because of higher battery.
Also the 12/256 should have been below 15k, then instead of going for GT 10 pro or Redmi 12 5g, would have certainly gone for this. Currently doesn't feel like buying it.

Anyone can say anything, but no one can refute reality. Only SAMSUNG phones are better.

So, the G54 has been released in the UK today, for £179. However, it's the Chinese variant, which has a smaller battery, slower charging, and a worse camera.

There is some talk about them releasing the Indian version as the G54 Power, but I haven't seen any confirmation that this will be released in the UK.

Fingers crossed that they do, and hopefully it will be around £199.

On Twitter, people are saying the G54 chipset is better than G84 chipset. Plus this model has a eSIM support that G84 doesn’t have. So the point of the G84 is the oled screen only.

R4TM4NN, 10 Sep 2023G54. Bigger battery, and OIS and slightly faster charging speeds.& it's going to cost around the 200 bucks range, honestly that's pretty decent

Frank55, 10 Sep 2023Better G73 or not?G54. Bigger battery, and OIS and slightly faster charging speeds.

Frank55, 10 Sep 2023Better G73 or not? That's a hard choice. The G73 camera has bigger pixels (though reviews say the camera in the G73 gives unsatisfactory results) while the G54 has OIS and supposedly does really well in daylight conditions (especially with finer details). Other than that, these two phones are quite similar. At the end of the day it might come down to which of the two SOC (Dimensity 930 vs 7020) is better in terms of call quality and signal reception (for mobile data connectivity). In terms of performance, they are not too far off from each other. They even have the same GPU, I think.

Can someone please clarify of signal reception and call quality of the G73?

Frank55, 10 Sep 2023Better G73 or not?Yes, bigger battery and OIS on camera.

Frank55, 10 Sep 2023Better G73 or not?G54 if you want OIS for the main camera.

= slightly above the entirety of what Japan makes.

But I have no Idea how much lf that is caused by cloud storage.

Somebody, 08 Sep 2023Valid point. But keeping your backups in the same device is... moreWell, having an SD card makes backing things up on PC much easier.

Compared to USB connection that can disconnect way easier due to in some way damaged or lose usb port or cable.

Also most Phones still use USB 2.0 speeds, and in my experience that never even reaches nearly 40MB per sec, but rather 600kb to 15MB with an around 2-8MB average depending on if I transfer big or many small files.

Put your SD out in the morning, put it in the PC and start the backup, you are still free to use your phone and take it somewhere while it's doing the backup.

And on any sort of cloud, cloud storage the provider is in the right to just delete what your saved there. When they either feel like you have been to inactive for example, or suddenly ended up in debt.

On top of that you can only Access that cloud storage while connected, it costs more, and is going to be slower than your SD card (limited to connection speed or HDD speed from cloud).

And another thing, having all that data be transferred online to a server is going to cost a lot more energy, than to your local SD, so also just a little better for the environment.
