Frank55, 10 Sep 2023Better G73 or not? That's a hard choice. The G73 camera has bigger pixels (though reviews say the camera in the G73 gives unsatisfactory results) while the G54 has OIS and supposedly does really well in daylight conditions (especially with finer details). Other than that, these two phones are quite similar. At the end of the day it might come down to which of the two SOC (Dimensity 930 vs 7020) is better in terms of call quality and signal reception (for mobile data connectivity). In terms of performance, they are not too far off from each other. They even have the same GPU, I think.

Can someone please clarify of signal reception and call quality of the G73?

Should i take it or not in this price range ?

Somebody, 08 Sep 2023Valid point. But keeping your backups in the same device is... moreIf you are interested, the internet makes up for 3,7% ish of carbon Emissions (May change depending on from where that energy came from).

= slightly above the entirety of what Japan makes.

But I have no Idea how much lf that is caused by cloud storage.

Somebody, 08 Sep 2023Valid point. But keeping your backups in the same device is... moreWell, having an SD card makes backing things up on PC much easier.

Compared to USB connection that can disconnect way easier due to in some way damaged or lose usb port or cable.

Also most Phones still use USB 2.0 speeds, and in my experience that never even reaches nearly 40MB per sec, but rather 600kb to 15MB with an around 2-8MB average depending on if I transfer big or many small files.

Put your SD out in the morning, put it in the PC and start the backup, you are still free to use your phone and take it somewhere while it's doing the backup.

And on any sort of cloud, cloud storage the provider is in the right to just delete what your saved there. When they either feel like you have been to inactive for example, or suddenly ended up in debt.

On top of that you can only Access that cloud storage while connected, it costs more, and is going to be slower than your SD card (limited to connection speed or HDD speed from cloud).

And another thing, having all that data be transferred online to a server is going to cost a lot more energy, than to your local SD, so also just a little better for the environment.

What if the device is lost or stolen?

You should backup regularly your important files to a separate device.

Very interesting device. Even if a 108mp cam and the selfie flash are missing, it concerns me more the GPU. At 192 grams weight is not a heavy phone, my Moto G60 which I'm using the last 2 years is 225, without the eco leather case.

The stereo speakers and the 33w charger is a welcome upgrade, but the latter could be even more for such battery.

truth, 06 Sep 2023Is it possible to bring down the weight to less than 170gm ... moreYes, you can cut the phone in 2 pieces :)

Every thing good but I wish the display was OLED or AMOLED

I've been seeing these comments and people seem to care so much about the weight and size of the phone, I mean 200g is heavy (my phone is around 180g) but y'all want 130g and 5 inch phones like are you a midget or what

Memory card is a security issue. In case of phone lost your data in sd card is exposed. Not so in internal memory. In past few holiday family photos of mine were posted by a crook in a dubious site.

It would also still take an eternity to transfer the data to another phone.

                                      That saved me once already.

After Android Version Update, something went wrong and the memory switched to read only. And it could not connect to the PC.

And the old USB 2.0 couldn't read my SSD.

Luckily, I could still move everything (I had not backed up yet) over to the SD card in my Phone, then factory reset the Phone, and simply move everything back. After the factory reset was done.

Recent photos weren't lost, neither my apk mods and Gcam mod I had to search for long to find one functioning well.

And neither did I had to download 35GB of game obb files again.

Also to another phone I had the 3.1 USB-C port became loose so the only way to back new pictures up again and move them to my PC was oh well, move it over to SD card and put SD card in PC.

While that one wasn't a life saver, it sure made it a lot less of a hassle.

Making you have more storage capacity is not the only Purpose of a SD card.
