Yeah definitely it will get...as moto gives 1st priority to their g series for getting faster updates...but u cant say about redmi note 4...u know the case of rn3 when almost all the devices in its price range and still it was running on lollipop...

I was too excited for this phone, I am using a htc phone with huge Bazels and black bar which is driving me crazy, it's a 6inch phone for a 5.5inch screen. The very fact that moto g5 plus is a 5.2inch phone with the size of most 2016 5.5inch phone is insane. Why moto did this why!!! Screen size was perfect but phone size is not. The fact that honor 6x,redmi note 4,oneplus 3t all re same size as moto g5 plus, what is point of carrying same size phone with lesser screen estate. Damn you moto/Lenovo. Let's see for moto z play 2017.

This is not a good phone for navigation for the reason that it does not have Compass sensor in the version that is released in India. Why no compass sensor in India? Because they think we are fools and can cut the cost by cutting that part off (remember galaxy S5 released in India without 4G antenna in it and people bought it for 40k)

It has TFT pannel not IPS lcd display pannel, and it doesn't have compass sensor as you have shown in specifications, please correct them

I compared to my k4 note and Asus Zenfone laser, it doesn't sound that great, it's average, and as I said the sound distorts when volume is high.
Anyway if your planning to purchase the phone if you can compromise with the sound quality and overheating then it's a good phone
Because I personally like the phone for the fact it has a dedicated microsd slot and per my usage after throwing in all the apps I normally used it never slowed down n gives a great performance

This phone is redmi note 4 killer has dual sim plus sdcard support thank God no hybrid and it's camera is f1.7 with dual pixel really awesome phone at least we have now choice instead of note 4 which is always out of stock and come only in flash sale

I purchased it from Flipkart and m really impressed with there delivery speed. I ordered for lunar grey and the looks and build quality is very impressive.
In my Iimited testing I checked the camera, audio playback and games which covers the performance.
Camera quality is really good in daylight, pictures are very sharp and detailed , even outdoor pictures are great and are not overexposed and washed out, same with the video.
Audio through speakers are not that great at high volumes they get distorted, to be honest I'm little bit disappointed, I wished Lenovo could have introduced the Dolby Atmos to Moto line up as well, even the bundled earphones is not up to mark, I used my Sennheiser earphones which gives a decent quality through this phone otherwise it's great with my k4 note.
I played Asaphalt 8 for about 20 mins and it never stuttered or lagged even a bit, but on the down side the phone got uncomfortably very hot, to the point I couldnt hold the phone any more
My verdict - If you like to play heavy games then in my opinion this phone is not suitable to play games for longer periods of time.
I will write more about the phone after testing other features
