my nexus 6p started giving me mad problems.. so happy i picked up the moto g5 plus. amazon sent me the 2gb version however when I intended to buy the 4gb ram version. I must say you don't want to buy the 2gb ram version. I consider myself a "light" user (mostly facebook, twitter, news, google maps, no games) and i like to frequently rotate through my apps. well after a week of a use i'm regularly using 95 - 99% of the ram. unbelievable. the android OS is a constant 700MB, and google play services will get you up to 120MB if you're consistently downloading apps. thats almost a gig gone right there. not alot of ram leftover to spread over ram hungry apps like snapchat, facebook, even google browsing. i am picking up my 4GB version tomorrow and am just relieved they make a 4GB version to begin with otherwise I would discard this phone.

The back camera is decent, front facing isn't nearly as good as my 6p. the loud speaker is pleasantly great, comparable to my 6p although only having 1 speaker and not 2, its still good enough for me. the screen brightness is great, i was worried about this coming from my 6p that has amoled, but the ips lcd holds up great on this phone (my brightness setting is only halfway and is comparable to how my 6p would be full brightness). the battery life is fantastic, i can go through a full day of use and see may battery around the 60% - 70% mark (again, light user). turbo charging is sweet. finger print scanner is fine, its nice to have it on the front instead of back like my 6p. i miss having a smaller phone, i much prefer being able to text with one hand and a coffee in the other. everything about the moto android OS is basically like my nexus 6p, i'm not seeing many differences (if any at all). I do have google assistant on my g5 plus, so that would be an extra feature my 6p didn't have. overall great phone!! its gonna be nice too to brag to my iphone 7 friends that my phone has more ram than theirs and like 30% of the cost :P

No NFC for the US version? Unacceptable!! Worst mistake for a 2017 era phone.

Bought this handset, 2 weeks ago. 1st impression the device looks and feels very impressive. Turbo charge really works. Though audio clarity on call is not that very good. Did any other user has similar experience?? I have emailed Motorola about this anomaly.

will the 16gb version be launched in India again?

I've read the review, which lead me to actually by the phone. The phone is as described. It does the job very well. The overall performance just makes me smile.
I'm very pleased with getting an almost pure Android version. Sonys are the contrast - overcomplicated and full of bloat. Samsung and LG has better screens and better camera. They also have a little more ooomph in the machine room. But they are more than double the price.
I just came to the conclusion, that it's virtually without competition at the price. Huawei P10 Lite could be a rival, but it just got a little too much added to Android and preinstalls to my liking. If I were to be gaming, I would opt for the P10 Lite. XDA Forum's got lots of support for both units. So rooting is absolutely an option - even for noobs.

I've read the review, which lead me to actually by the phone. The phone is as described. It does the job very well. The overall performance just makes me smile. Reception and calls are excellent. It might not have the biggest memory or storage, but as the unit is sold without a ton of bloatware it leaves enough power and store to most people

This is a great phone in this range. It feels very good in hand and the camera is great. There's no heating issue and performs very smoothly. The fingerprint scanner works great and because of the quick charge 3.0(turbo charging) it charges 0-100% within an hour. The speaker's pretty loud and clear too. About the design I don't know about your opinion but to me the design is pretty good( the lunar grey variant).

Awesome device! Slight heating issue was observed on the first day of charging but was resolved soon after an update was installed! That update also resolved the issue of background noise while recording video! If you are planning to get a device under 17k this is the one that you should keep on top of your list!
