It has IMX 362 (used in Google Pixel 2 XL) but becoz of shitty implementation and third class software processing most of the images turn out to be blurry and unusable. And don't ask about night images. Within 1 yr and 3 months this camera has turned from best in class to worst(maybe due to updates). I had very high hopes from Motorola, all in vain.
And updates are very bad. Still on Dec '18 security patch. I think s/w support is almost over now. I have asked Motorola about it, but they are silent on Insta and Twitter. I have to search for a better smartphone now I guess.
LENOVO ruined Motorola
(I hope somebody from Motorola or Lenovo understand this or else their end is very near.)

Have been using this device (Indian version) for almost 2 years now. Thought since it's a stock Android phone, and Motorola promised updates, there would be nothing to worry about.
But no, Motorola had other plans. No updates on time, almost ditched Oreo for this phone and when they did provide updates, they're full of bugs. No Night Mode, poor camera, 4GB + 32GB when every other manufacturer provides 4GB + 64GB at this price point.
And on top of it, every successor has the only thing new, it's name, see Moto G7 for example. Same old stuff. No innovation, no nothing.
This was my third and last Moto phone if they don't get their $hit together. Not getting my hopes up though.

I have been using Moto G5 Plus from September 2017. The phone is good but it's internet connectivity is very poor especially WiFi. Within one year I had to reset my phone 4 times. I was using lenovo before that and that too has same issue.

India variant of this device XT1685 (dual-sim 4G) does not support band 41 which is listed here incorrectly. Referring to official Motorola India website, this device only supports bands 1,3,5,8,40 (no band 41).
For me it connects to Vodafone 4G but without any carrier aggregation and hence the data speed is very slow.

Great phone overall.
Only bugging cons are 32-bit OS and lack of Camera 2API(I know it can be enabled via ADB but it should have been out of the box) and slow updates of Motorola.

Got this phone a year ago. It has been perfect in every way. The camera is poor in low light situations. Other than that the phone is fast and I love all the features and aps. It stomps my wife's iPhone 7 big time. Great phone by Motorola!!

It's a good phone for the price, but Motorola should be more diligent into attend common issues detected by the public and bringing up security patches to their device in a critical way.

It's a good phone looks are not the killer performance quite good camera average. But try the feature that allows you to cancel navigation buttons using fingerprint pad to mine back and forth etc. Screen size experience improves a lot. Did it after 16 months of standard use. With this and Oreo it looks like a new device! Shame Motorola lost fast updates. Cuz the phone it's awesome
