I bought this phone in Dec 2017 and found that the Settings are completely useless and the ads on apps come on really loud and uncontrollable with the volume control until they time out. You cannot control the phone with volume control or back button or even turn the phone of when this happens. UNACCEPTABLE!!! Other than the settings issue, it seems to be fast and a quality build. I am going back to Samsung cause the lack of settings is unacceptable. And, it is completely Googleized.

A1 have some problem with software like shutting down app automatically . The only thing that beat Moto g5s+ is it's design..

well all these 2 phones have no Digital Compass
i have used miA1 a month and it is worth to buy
MiA1 cons are
1. it is fully encrypted by google because it has "androne1" os instead of "MIUI", while in MIUI you can enable or disable "encypt phone"
2. if you connect phone to MTP , you will found several folders re hidden or shows as single file, you cant copy paste them or even can't see any files inside it
3.it's poor "proximity sensor", while talking several settings change due to ear area touches
4. it does not have MI apps.
5. rear camera has a low light issue on portrait mode "depth effect"
6. worst front camera "see whether you are purchasing redmi 5a 5K or mi A1 14K you will have 5MP selfie camera"
SO in my opinion go for Motorola G5S

Very good phone with amazing specifications, performances were greater than mi a1. Only con of this mobile is depth mode, which is not good, hope Motorola will fix this on future oreo update, am eagerly waiting for oreo update

Bro go for Moto G5s Plus as i 'm already using Mi A1 since last 3 months and this are the problems encountered buy me.
1)Though Stock OS given Mi A1 it still lacks polishiness of Moto as i was using Moto G4 Pluse Before Mi A1.
2)Camera: Bokeh Effect click are stunning, but fails in Selfie,Video, and Low Light Photos departments.
3)Mi A1 still uses Back-led button which are old now.
Mi A1 wins Only in Department of Looks and USB-Type C Port

I have been using the phone from Sep 2017. The corning gorilla glass in the set is a disappointment.It cracked with the slightest of fall.My older galaxy grand took even more beating still didnt crack like this

Certainly is awesome for its price and to be a phone in the upper middle range looks like a superior phone of upper class. Full metal, good cámera in front and rear (double camera), a processor that does it all, fast finger print recognition, a very good RAM (3 Gz) and a battery that lasts all day. More?..You are getting a marvelous phone for the price (about 230-250 USD). Not a perfect phone but it does the work and I realy like it...G.C.S -(Venezuela)

I personally like mi A1 design cuz it's like iPhone 7 and sleek and hate Moto design we can't add a back cover it's already bulky.
