According motorola blog ,Android Pie will be served up this fall for moto g6 plus,moto g6,moto g6 play,moto z2,moto z3 depends on market .Not Moto G4,Moto G5,MotoE series

Depends on market and provider if use mobile data.For smaller G5s looks like got it in some market since end July over wifi connection

Terrible phone. The battery drains extremely fast, the screen glitches, still doesn't have oreo, both cameras are suck, screen scratches and cracks way too easily. There are many more issues i have encountered with this phone but when i think about it i get very irritated. I originally got this device as a place holder because my iPhone had gotten stolen. Would not buy again.

Even #motorola 's page no longer lists any OTA push info for the G5s Plus.
I am on Verizon Wireless here in the States and while the device is compatible and works great on their Network, they know nothing about it.
And @dante , the reason so many of us are asking about the Oreo / 8.1 update is because the device was listed as getting it.
In fact it was one of the reasons I bought mine.
My 2015 Droid Turbo was doing just fine still running Marshmallow / 6.1

Frozen Oracle , 04 Jul 2018Just received June Security update here in Mumbai . But yet... more31-JUL and still same situation here in the US.
Just put phone in service on Sunday (29-JUL) and immediately got all security updates thru June.

Picked up the phone because of all the good reviews and stuff, iam a bit dissapointed. Phone is often sluggish after 6 months of use and i haven't overburdened it with apps and stuff. Also the motorola cam app sucks, it crashes so often i can't use it, i had to download another cam app.

i don't understand why so many bad reviews about this phone. i bought one a month ago and i looks very good. performance, battery, display etc. Ok, is not a flagship smartphone but for the price i believe is a good one. i hope there will be no issue with this phone.
and why so eager for OREO updates? this phone had security patch for June 2018.
