Bought for my mom early 2020 she uses mostly for phone call and text and WhatsApp. For basics os say it's still fine, even working with android 10.
Battery life is ok, great quality full HD screen still looks great and good brightness, better than many recent hd+ Motorola screens with mediocre brightness.

So mu... moreIf you expect good custom rom dont instal the latest, bugs are normal for early stage, even ios 13 was buggy and I avoid instal update at first released. At least g7 the easiest phone to fix and while ios serve 5years after that is dead, no custom ROM

AnZ, 13 Feb 2023Just use lineage OS. Works like a charm So, i use lineage an i have so many problems with it. So much so that after 6 months if using it, I have fully decided to not use lineage again, and to get a new phone. The cameras are terrible, probably mostly by the fault of linages not great default camera app (i don't have the energy or commitment to try abd use open camera, it kinda sucks, any other good camera apps i should try?). It is slow, laggy, and is just not a great phone overall.

I've had my Moto G7 for over a year now. At first I had no real issues but the closer I get to having it for 2 years it seems to be freezing up a lot. And one thing I don't like is how task complete messages stay on the screen entirely too long and it interferes with normal operations. The camera is good but not great. Overall it's a decent phone for the price.

I bought this phone back around 2½ years ago. It is my first ever smart phone so I have no personal experience to compare it with other than my old Nokia's.
It has performed marvelously with no issues whatsoever in this time. The battery still holds a good charge and it only needs topped up every 2nd or third day.
I am a manual worker and I'm outside all year round in all weather conditions in Ireland, so that's mostly wet! The phone has been dropped in wet concrete, the toilet, a tray of paint, and pan of drained engine oil, to name but a few. It has not shown any problems from any of these incidents.
It has also been left on the roof of my van whilst I've driven off. A neighbor found it and returned it to me that evening. The screen protector was cracked but the screen itself was fine!. It has fallen from a bungalow roof onto a gravel driveway and out of a tree from around 25m high.
I was reluctant to by a smart phone because all my friends were forever moaning about breaking them. I only bought one because I had a motorbike accident in a remote area. The driver of the car that hit me was able to use "what three words" to get assistance out to me. They also were able to record images of the scene for the insurance and fill in the forms there and then!
I am now a convert and I believe that this wee phone is more than rugged enough for the average person. Also the battery life is great compared to all my pals, they are forever having to top up at lunch time in the van.
I just hope I can get another one of equal quality when it eventually gives up.

I have it for 2 years. it is massive nad durable.
BUT the camera is a joke. pictures are ugly and noisy. the worst ever camera in phone. Is used to have two motorlas before both were better in camera.

My g7 is turning off automatically. once it turns off while using when charged 15% and another time it turns off when I am not using it and that time it was charged 93%. can anyone tell me what is the issue?

Bought this phone in the fall of 2019 and have had no issues with it even after dropping it many times. Love this phone!

Had G7 since new, great phone, not for gaming of course. Would have thought the phone would have higher than cat 7 4G UE. But you can't complain too much about that. If you wanted the entire spectrum of 4G (cat 21 or something) capabilities you would have to go for a 5g phone.

Bought my first smartphone in 2001. Purchased an unlocked Nokia in 2004 for use abroad. When it died last september while I was in England, I Purchased this phone for use abroad. Specs/camer okay, but the worst, the absolute worst I've ever purchased. I won't even begin to go into all the problems I've had from an inability to download photos to my PC, to a screen that is basically designed as an ad machine (which, I suppose is why it is reasonably priced). One of the happiest days of my life was last week, when visiting in Uruguay, I borrowed a hammer from my apartment owner, and smashed this piece of crap into a thousand pieces. Felt so good. Learned my lesson, payed a little more and have a Samsung unlocked triband phone that works well and doesn't inundate me with Google and other ads-often at a critical moment when I'm using Waze or Google. Buyer beware. Or be conned and buy this piece of junk.

The phone is great so far nothig to complain about. Works great on Android 10
