i suspect often a faulty charging cable, cheap charger or damaged charger port is the cause.

Had this phone for about 2 years and then stopped charging. Tried different cables and rebooting, etc. Seems to be a physical problem.

Had this phone for a year and a half. Great phone all around, no complains ... UNTIL ... the screen bulged and separated from the phone body creating a visible opening gap on the left side of the phone. Needless to say it is the end of this phone and a fire/explosion hazard that was developing in a device that I carry around all day long. And a year and half into its life cycle is disappointing.

The back of the pho... moreHey if the battery in your phone is bulging, you need to properly dispose of your phone and stop using it IMMEDIATELY! A bulging battery is an imminent explosive hazard. Please don't just try to push the phone back together, as doing so could pop the battery and give you potentially fatal burns!

1. This phone has one big shortcoming. The back of the phone is bent around the large battery, and eventually the back will spring loose. I have tried everything including Gorilla Glue to get it stay back on, and including heating the back with a hot air gun, and nothing holds the back on. Yes, you can buy a replacement back that comes with a kind of sticky band that goes on first, but this doesn't work any better than the original. The problem seems to that Motorola put this bigger battery on this phone and then tried to bend the back cover around the battery, and it just doesn't work forever. It's too bad because I generally like this phone, but not with the back that springs loose. Save your money until Motorola gets a better bit of engineering for the back cover.

Just got my moto g7 delivered to me today in my home country (Nigeria) from Hong Kong. I unboxed it and it lovely. Waiting for it to be fully charged before I check the function.

Anonymous, 26 Sep 2019Moto never has notification LED. Moto phones always had the notification led (mostly white). Until Moto G2 it was enabled in stock ROM. But since Moto G3 it was disabled by the Moto. To use it, rooting the phone was necessary or flashing a custom ROM.
My older G5 Plus had it disabled but then I installed Pixel Experience ROM and it was working.
I don't know if it was hidden or removed since G6.

Anonymous, 26 Sep 2019Moto never has notification LED. My XT1563 has one. Came with the stock operating system. Once you upgraded, the LED would never turn on again. Of you wiped it clean to the stock version again, the LED would turn back on.
