LOS555, 03 Aug 2022Have you updated to LOS 19.1? And how is the phone performi... moreI am not the person you replied to, but I thought I would share my experience. I am currently running LineageOS 18.1 on this device instead of 19.1, but I will say that this phone still works well as a daily driver. The best word I can use to describe this phone is "sufficient". The processor is strong enough for everyday tasks and web browsing. I have not played games on this phone, but I would assume that the performance would not be impressive. I have noticed a few slowdowns occasionally (perhaps 2-3 times a week), but they don't bother me too much. The camera is average quality. My carrier (T-Mobile) supports VoLTE with it. Calls are a bit quiet even with the speaker on. I am thankful for the headphone jack and SD card slot; those were two criteria that I would not compromise on when I was looking for a phone to buy. I bought this phone used, yet the battery is still holding out very well; I average 2-3 days between recharges, 4-6 if I hardly used the phone during the week.
Yes, this phone does what a phone is supposed to do, and nothing else. For the price I bought it at (~$65), its value cannot be beat.

I paid more to get this phone, and it constantly tells me I'm out of space and some features may not perform as they should. All I use the phone for is texting and photos, sometimes maps, but not too many photos, I delete the ones I don't want. Also it used to stay charged for days, now it runs out of battery quick, even when I have not used it.

I bought an MOTOROLA G7 Power, 64GB, 4GB RAM, Dual SIM, Black ( SKU: SMTMOTOG7POWBK ) from Europe, Romania - Product/Variant: ocean XT1955-4 64GB PVT1 on 17.11.2019 and today, after all this time, the display of my phone turns black/shuts down (but I don't think it turns off - see the explication below) SOMETIMES randomly when:
- I watch videos on Instagram, Tiktok, Facebook (not on Youtube)
- I see Insta Reels, Insta Stories
- I use Google Maps for navigating
- I get called on my phone number
The reason why I say that the phone doesn't turn off when I do the things about is because after it's on again, it has all the apps and tabs running. Also, I had a timer running and that timer was still counting even if the phone had the black screen.
The only thing that I've done different before the smartphone started to crash is to apply a magnetic car support on its back. Now, even if it has that magnet on the back, even if it doesn't, the phone still has problems. I've also throwed the phone on my bed a few times, took the phone to the shower with me and steam got on it (no water).
As a fix, I've tried to updated the phone firmware till the new Android 10 version QPO30.52-29), but that didn't fixed the problem.
How can I solve this MOTOROLA G7 Power XT1955-4 black screen/crash/shut down display? I don't want to change the phone because it still works OK and I wanna keep it.
Thank you!

Got it over two years ago - the battery is not what it used to be, but that is reasonable considering I use it a lot, including for quite a bit of gaming. It still lasts me the whole day most of the time. When I dropped it and shattered the screen, the local repair shop was able to fix it quickly and for a very reasonable price, which I did not think would be a case for an inexpensive phone like this.

I am on my 3rd year with the Moto G7 Power and the battery is still good for 2 or 3 days. This phone is not for gamers or night photography, but it is a 1st class workhorse for email, texting, GPS navigation, music, and general online use.

This phone is a heck of a phone. It still lasts three days of normal usage on a charge, and I have had it over two years. It has started taking it's time opening things and sometimes it will freeze while typing but for the cost and how old it is now, still a heck of a phone.

This phone was AMAZING for the price. I had it 2.5 years before I started noticing it slowing down. At the beginning it could get me 3 days of use, and even now I NEVER need to charge it before the day is over, no matter what I use it for. Just more lag and glitches as it gets older- maybe once a week it drops calls or stalls for about 5 seconds when starting up apps. Honestly such a great budget phone though, I dropped it almost every other day and it really hung in there for me.

Purchased one for my spouse in June 2019, liked it so much I bought one for myself the next month. Great Battery life, 2 - 3 days. We minimize charging cycles by letting it run low before charging and after 3 years I can still get 3 days in light use. No wireless charging which is a problem with our new Tesla. The screen is fine, but not notably bright. It has a bit of trouble adjusting to ambient light sometimes. We've updated to Android 10 without issues. Camera works well - images are fine for us - can be reprocessed for colour correction. No NFC chip for PoS transactions, but scanning barcodes on the screen works fine. All in all great phones for the price point. We will be upgrading for my spouse as the hardware doesn't work for Android Suppport for Hearing Aids which has become an issue recently.

It also starts to get problems with the charger connecting properly and recently I was suddenly left with no phone without warning because I believe the charging port has worn out, the charger won't connect at all and the phone is now dead and I can't get onto it

I bought this phone new as soon as it came out and it still performs almost as good as new. I've always kept a tempered-glass screen protector on it and any issues caused by the USB not plugging in I resolved by cleaning the port with a razor-thin piece of plastic. I work in a factory with alot of dust in the air and have dropped the phone dozens and dozens of times and the charger still works fine, the battery life is still exceptional, and the screen doesn't have a single permanent mark on it.

Been using this phone since release. Battery lasts about 4 days for the first two years, only lasts about 2 days now. I want to get a new phone, but nothing seems to live up to the Moto G7 Power, even it's successors Moto G Power 2020/2021/2022.

Has been a good reliable phone. I wouldn't buy it just for the battery life as now two years later it has significantly dropped and the charger does not connect properly (even with a brand new charger) so it is very difficult to charge now, so probably going to get new phone because of this. The camera quality is fairly good. It performs well in sun but tends to be rather dark otherwise and it struggles to adjust to different lightings. There is a glitch with video audio its is very bad and muffled. It seems to have problems with recognising SD cards. When I put the SD card in it messed up my photos order and some disappeared from gallery(but not google photos), it wouldn't work unless I constantly cleared the sd card cache but now completely not working saying the memory is full when there is loads left on 256gb memory card and can't work out how to fix this. You can't move apps to sd card to free up storage.

Not happy. I purchased two of these phones, one for myself and one for my wife and have the same problem with both phones. The adhesive holding the front and the back of the phone loses its adhesion causing the front to separate from the back of the phone, the phones are actually bowed and I don't know if it's the heat from the battery that causes it but if I didn't have rear covers on these phones they would come apart.
