I just switched to this phone after staying with Nokia mid rangers since 2018 as I always wanted to give Motorola a try. After 1 day of usage here is what i can say
- Lightweight and easy to hold
- Fingerprint works pretty well, face unlock is there but it is not usable for most of authorizations
- Finally no mandatory google search bar. Couldnt rid of it with Nokia stock Android
- Customization: Not sure if control over font, icon size, spacing etc is Android 12 feature or this is Motorola specific option.
- Front camera is poor and has some beautification feature that cant be turned off. Camera app is ok, much on lines of Gcam
- Touch is response, i had better expectation from screen that OLED might change the experience compared to IPS LCD but I must say I am yet to be impressed..
Overall a good deal considering the price I paid for a midranger.

So basically its a G71 with improved specs. Motorola could have launched it with G71 as a Pro(or Plus) version. I was looking for a phone of such spec, but settled with G71 last month. With OIS and a 120Hz Screen I think the price will be 2-3K more.

I expect a budget mobile from Motorola with the same 12mp camera hardware like that of Pixel's 6a though definitely not with their camera software. Will Google permit such a hardware to be used by Motorola? If possible, there would be many phones by now with that hardware. Why this mediocre Samsung or Omnivision 50mp camera sensor all the time from every mobile manufacturer?

Yes I have been waiting for a moto with this size and specs for a very long time. Now to get it to the USA...that's another story...
