Sreeder30 , 19 Oct 2023What's the point having 12GB ram with a SD 695none, it's not a PC, no need to open many apps at the same time. It's just marketing thing. However the tech specs are very interesting overall. The usual drawback is software support from Motorola, few updates and also late delivered

Applock - yes, locked apps won't kill in task drawer.
Call disconnected sound - yes, but it is not loud.
Call history of individual calls - yes, of course it is there.
Features that always missing:
Data speed - never see it in moto.
Hotspot with wifi - when enable hotspot then wifi will be turned off.
In other Android phone, hotspot can work with wifi that share wifi internet connection,
But moto only share carrier data.
So most features you've mentioned are actually included, get familiar on how to use it.

I would be interested in the Latin American variant because it uses band 66 which my United States carrier always seem to have me on. Everywhere online I only see the international version of the Motorola Moto G84 though

I know it is stock android but there must be some features which must be there. Like applock, data speed shower, sound when call is disconnected, call history of individual calls. these are features are lacking, i am using it for one months. but it is fast.

Does it support 5G+? I mean i have a G82 and it has same processor as G84 but G84 supports mmwave and G82 Doesn't support mmwave. Hence i don't see 5G+ on my G82 but just wanted to know if G84 supports it? Please do reply if you see 5G+ on the right corner of your screen.

What's worse, they remove critical reviews that point out how low-grade their displays are. Don't do business with this dishonest company.

I am thinking of buying the newly launched Moto G84 5g smartphone. It has 12 GB of RAM. But since the Snapdragon 695 processor in it supports a maximum of only 8 GB RAM (that's what the google search says) does it mean this is a gimmick and the phone actually works only on 8 GB of RAM?

Got G84 this month, played almost (just) 2 weeks.
Normal use is fine, smooth operating, screen image is good ...
Charging, it support PD and (partial) QC even it didn't mention in the spec.
in connect to QC charger, protocol shows QC2 it won't use 9V and upper,
it is still 5V but ~3A, so you still can get the faster charge time.
Camera is worse than expect, I can use Gcam but not much improvement.
Unlike other mobile with Android 12,13, turn on Hotspot will force turn off Wifi,
what the..., this is all Moto do, I think, fine I don't use hotspot that much.
The worst thing is battery wear really fast !
Tested fast charge (30W) once or twice,
normally just use normal charge (2A) and stop at 80%,
but now battery health dropped to almost 90%.
I understand that those battery monitor apps are just for reference and not accurate,
Perhaps it is cheap low quality battery it is using.
Meanwhile I am using Blackview for almost 2months, battery health still 100%.
