G85 5G it's very light 170g. Approximately and very thickness just 7.59mm ,A35 it's more heavy 200g and a little bulky!!
G85 have a beautiful Endless Edge Display very brightness!
More Major Os update for A35 but Moto have Android Stock with New Hello Moto Ui! Bought have big display A35 6.6" G85 6.67"!
Sincerely personally I don't like this very big display!
I don't know if you want another Option with 3 years Major Update you can buy Edge 50 Fusion better option Because have Qualcomm 7s gen. not Exynos
And another - for A35 it's to much blotware Sistem App ! Android Stock it's very light . And ultimate A35 you don't Setup Offline !
with Moto it's possible to Setup offline no require Sim Card for activation or Wi Fi ! And yes you need a film Protector and case with More Protection for Edge display because you don't know what is happening and maybe you drop accidentally the phone !!!

The Moto G85 has Gorilla Glass 5 protection and a curved edge, is it safe to use without a film? I don't usually use film because I'm very careful and don't like it, but this advantage worries me even though it has Gorilla Glass 5 protection. What's your opinion?
I intended to buy the Galaxy A35, it has better protection (Gorilla Glass Victus Plus) but there shouldn't be that much difference from version 5. The Galaxy A35 is much better than the G85 in several aspects:
Camera records in 4k
IP67
WiFi 6
More updates
More powerful processor
Better camera
But the G85 really pleased me, I watch a lot of content so I prioritize a lighter cell phone that doesn't tire my hand, a screen without many edges and good quality stereo sound, I have never used a cell phone with a curved screen, so I don't know if I will regret it later. What do you think?

Yes finally Edge 40 have now Security Patch 1 July 2024.
Now I'm waiting this models received New Hello Moto Ui with Android 15? And will remain to Old UX ?!!!

For the Moment it's nothing official! But sure will have 2 OS update because it's from G Series!
Edge 50 Fusion have 3 update major OS and 1 years security update!

Edege 40 it's now with security Patch in May 2024 in this moment and waiting to much for Android 14!
The alternative it's Edge 50 Fusion with a more powerful processor or G85 5G with 6s gen 3 in this category range because bought have Qualcomm and New Interface Moto Ui in combination with Android Stock . G85 battery life appear in Battery Meniu with approximately 2 days after 100% charge because the processor it's very economic ! Security Patch 1 June 2024 received in 16.07.
I think it's a possible problem compatibility with MediaTek and Soft Update because with Qualcomm update arrived more fast!
I don't know it's pur personally supposition!

You'll get more for your money if you wait longer between phones. Not sure why most comments are people upgrading yearly. Even with a flagship phones, the yearly upgrades aren't too big. Some brands they are small.

UFS 2.0 and Wi-Fi 5(ac) is to small to me. If will be Wi-Fi 6 (ax) and UFS 4.0 I bought it.

Does the Moto G85 have a pwm anti flicker option? I have difficulty with screens because I feel burning and pain in my eyes. Chinese smartphones are not widely available in my country, Brazil, I tested the Moto G54 with an IPS screen and it wasn't as good as I expected, and the cameras are bad.

And now have in portfolio all Phone 19:5:9 in Europe!!!
A53 it's last middle device with normal format 20:9 and decent light 180g.
And processor Exynos it's not very good because after 10-15 min for a session gamining the phone it's hot!

Have Hi Resolution Audio from Qualcomm and Update it's delivered fast in 16 July received Security Patch from 1 June 2024 and bug fixed approximately 600 MB ,exactly what have A54 from Sam
Out of the box the pohne have Security patch 1 May 2024.
In near feature Qualcomm and google have a collaboration for a delivery update more fast! Qualcomm it's the Best!
If you want equivalent for A55 buy Edge 50 Fusion becose have more powerful 7s gen 3 .IP68 3 years of major update 4 years security patch!
