magnaroader, 07 Aug 2024Bro if you have options for other phones, I'm sure you... moreI've also been researching the Poco X6, it's cheaper than the G85 at the moment and the same price as the A35. But the lack of guarantee in my country, abusive fees and a system clogged with blotaware and advertising doesn't please me, however it is a very good option too. Today I went to the store and used the A35, then I went to the Motorola store but they didn't have the G85 so I used the Edge 50 Fusion and Edge 40 Neo that they had available. The difference in weight and ergonomics is surreal, I much preferred the Motorola, the Edge 40 Neo is incredible and very comfortable, it's a shame it's being discontinued. I liked the A35's screen more but regarding the sound and camera I preferred the Edge 40 Neo, it's better than the Edge 50 Fusion in my opinion, which is also a good option. I've already made up my mind, I'm going with Motorola even though I'm missing Wifi 6, IP67 and updates. If the Edge 50 fusion drops in price I will pay for it. Honestly, Samsung's design, similar to Apple, I found horrible, it's not good to hold, it falls easily from your hand, it's thick, heavy, uncomfortable, but you can adapt it, but I didn't like it.

And even still, the A5x series cameras aren't as great as they sound on paper. Trust me. G85 does well in low light, but Poco and Xiaomi phones are stellar at the same price range. The only reason I don't like them is the horrid UI and bloatware, otherwise I would recommend Xiaomi devices over Moto anyday.

I was surprised to hear that the G85's camera is better, I'm going to test it in a store soon, especially the front one. I'm comparing the A35, G85 and Xiaomi's Poco X6, all of which have a similar price for the 256/8gb version in my country, with the A35 being a little more expensive at the moment, but Samsung's price is falling fast.

Saitama12, 05 Aug 2024If you have both, can you tell me about the quality of the ... moreBro, if you have to choose between these two models, they both have their strengths (A35 has more software support with 4 years of OS updates, G85 has the better camera). Both cannot play HDR in Netflix in my region for some reason, but my own movie files in HDR show they both can play HDR content.
Neither have a headphone jack, so you're either going to need USB C headphones or wireless ones.
Both have really beautiful displays, not gonna lie. They both look good. It's really a preference thing if you want a flat display or a curved one. I prefer the curved (as it makes the phone feel less bulky). Now this is totally my preference, but I prefer the almost stock android skin for Moto UI over Samsung, but given the 8 gb ram (12 gb in moto!) OneUI is not bad.
Both have bloatware pre-loaded.
Speakers are great on both.
If there's a price difference in your region, I say go with whatever is cheaper.
You won't go wrong with either as a daily driver. In my region, the G85 is about 50 bucks cheaper and has double the storage and higher ram (samsung 128/8 vs moto 256/12) so it's obvious which one the people prefer.

magnaroader, 05 Aug 2024I have literally both phones (G85 and A35). The difference ... moreIf you have both, can you tell me about the quality of the screen and audio, comparing the differences, what do you think? The Fe line is very expensive in my country and my use is basic intermediate, I don't even play anymore, I just consume content. My budget is also limited
I don't really use cameras much, I just press to focus and click the photo, simple as that. I watch a lot of videos, films, anime and series. Do they both have HDR on YouTube and other technologies?

Samsung is great when you go higher in tier, but in the lower and mid range, their camera tech sucks balls.
If you think Moto sucks, go for a higher tier Samsung, not the Moto G series. I'd recommend Fe series for Samsung, which are a very capable mid-flagship series.

I've never had a good experience with Motorola in terms of camera, but I'm going to try to go to a physical store and test the Moto G85, this Sony sensor makes it seem like the photos are better.

Saitama12, 02 Aug 2024The Moto G85 has Gorilla Glass 5 protection and a curved ed... moreYes A35 and Moto G85 5G bought have advantages.
G85 5G it's very light 170g. Approximately and very thickness just 7.59mm ,A35 it's more heavy 200g and a little bulky!!
G85 have a beautiful Endless Edge Display very brightness!
More Major Os update for A35 but Moto have Android Stock with New Hello Moto Ui! Bought have big display A35 6.6" G85 6.67"!
Sincerely personally I don't like this very big display!
I don't know if you want another Option with 3 years Major Update you can buy Edge 50 Fusion better option Because have Qualcomm 7s gen. not Exynos
And another - for A35 it's to much blotware Sistem App ! Android Stock it's very light . And ultimate A35 you don't Setup Offline !
with Moto it's possible to Setup offline no require Sim Card for activation or Wi Fi ! And yes you need a film Protector and case with More Protection for Edge display because you don't know what is happening and maybe you drop accidentally the phone !!!
Have a beautiful day! All the best!

The Moto G85 has Gorilla Glass 5 protection and a curved edge, is it safe to use without a film? I don't usually use film because I'm very careful and don't like it, but this advantage worries me even though it has Gorilla Glass 5 protection. What's your opinion?
I intended to buy the Galaxy A35, it has better protection (Gorilla Glass Victus Plus) but there shouldn't be that much difference from version 5. The Galaxy A35 is much better than the G85 in several aspects:
Camera records in 4k
IP67
WiFi 6
More updates
More powerful processor
Better camera
But the G85 really pleased me, I watch a lot of content so I prioritize a lighter cell phone that doesn't tire my hand, a screen without many edges and good quality stereo sound, I have never used a cell phone with a curved screen, so I don't know if I will regret it later. What do you think?
