Ace, 06 Dec 2014Avirachan,I laughed a lot after reading your last post..i'm... moreYou can laugh for all I care. I have been using desktop and mobile OS systems for years to know the difference. It's people's attitude that if you give them bloated crap with a lot of eyecandy and usability factors with a hefty price tag will only work. I appreciate open source and Linux as well as Google for crushing microsoft off the mobile market and we, the commoners have the option to have a free hand instead of monopolistic corporations taking over mobile platform also. No! I have no problem with people using Windows or their mobile os. But, facts must be appreciated instead of parading as a bagpiper boy of microsoft and windows here.

One of the best budget smart phone in the Indian marke. It manages to give a nexus experience or let's say stock android experience which is far better than touch wiz and htc's user interface. Given the price it is a great phone. I do agree that they could have upgraded the RAM and could have managed to make the phone a bit better. But if you are a powerful user who plays a lot heavy HD Gamez and heavy multitasking, you may want to skip the device. But if you are a user with light multitasking and medium and ocassional HD gamer then this device works. But Waiting for android 5 update. Let's see what miracles or debacles it brings for the device and the company.

hi, i have bought. my moto g2 in october.i have problem regarding battery.During charging display shows charging is going on,,but even after one hour,it shows same percentage, means no battery getting charged.Flipcart tech advice me to first switch off your mobile during charging after this battery icon appears on the screen showing a big sign of Question mark.. rather than battery percentage and mobile is not charging again..sometimes Question mark disappears and 1-2 percent battery charged..and vice versa.... i m very worried about the same. Plz plz someone help me..

Been using the moto G second gen for over 3 months now. Coming over from a Xolo q700, the initial bump in screen estate made me reasonably happy.

However, there are a list of issues with the phone I would like to bring out or rather mention

                  1. The battery life is abysmal. Charging with the factory charger is a nightmare, mainly attributing to the low output.

                  2. The ram on the phone is 1 GB. But the experience is worse than my previous xolo. The music player keeps quitting while surfing the internet on chrome. I tried uninstalling Facebook, and other unnecessary ram consuming applications, but in vain.
Very very annoying!! Contemplating on rooting it and installing another ROM on it. Guys at Motorola really need to sort out this issue.

                  3. Gaming performance is ridiculously below par. Even though the antutu showed 18k it performs pretty badly while playing GTA games, San Andreas in particular. My previous phone with a gig of ram and 13k antutu played it better!

                  4. Android 4.4.4 has an issue with selecting 3g only mode, and works only on "3g preferred". There's a workaround however, Network app on the play store.

                  5. The keyboard refuses to pop up at many many input fields. While playing clash of clans, even the default keyboard doesn't pop up 50% of the time. Again, ram issue.

                  Finally the pros:

                  1. Good looking phone, great built quality. Many covers available, both officially as well as third party.

                  2. Nice big screen.

                  3. Lollipop update gonna arrive soon. Hoping all those memory management issues get solved.

                  4. Expandable storage is a blessing

                  5. Decent Stereo Speakers.

In conclusion: Personally, as a power user, I'm really disappointed with the phone. Regretting my decision.

Those who use it to perform everyday tasks, such as calling, browsing the internet and so on, there are better phones in the market currently which do the exact same thing for a smaller price.

Currently the most over rated phone in the market.

                    Hello frnds,

I am using moto g2 for past 2 months, here i want to know if any others are also facing this issue, i am unable to hear ringtone from the phone speakers when the headset is connected, moto experts argued me that you wont be able to hear any sound on phone speakers if headsets are connected, i too agree that, but every other phones the ringtones will play on the phone speakers if headset is connected, kindly check you phones also and please help me out to fix this issue.

                    Thanks,

                      An opinion for ACE:
I think android is better than windows in some angles like user friendly interface, application availability, frequent bug and design updates and recently released Lollipop update took android 1step ahead than windows..yes it is true that both the OS's are very competitive but the "touch and slide" style, very long menu, same icons with tiles, drop down menu (copied from android) ,less apps in store(full of unnecessary apps) in windows will easily make negative points towards smartphone..

Who do you think I am?Am I an advocate of microsoft or any of its brand?of course not.
You say that windows desktop pc is an inferior OS..then who is the superior....your Linux or your Ubuntu??
Friend, when we compare an OS and that too for pc we take it windows as a standard to compare with others...who can use linux?not any average users can do it for sure because they are not user friendly...they don't want themselves to remain in competition.I am not even going to comment on Ubuntu, fedora and some others because I don't want to waste my words on them....you go and use fedora Os for pc and enjoy...
and why are you commenting on Microsoft partnerships and ties with hardware manufactures???Don't your google does it????don't your fedora will do it if they will make money?
Do you know how business is done....im sure you're not a businessman....
When I praise windows phone OS...its not because for personal benefits because I'm not an employee of Microsoft...but I praise because they really deserve it...if you would have preferred iOS I would have given you some respect but what you said about lagdroid OS made me sure that you don't have any knowledge about OS..you just have read few articles on internet and now you have come to teach your unknown theories...
You go and ask those people who have used android and windows phone, they will tell you the truth that windows phone is far better than android.when I say windows phone is better its in term of performance ,speed, consistency and security something which I think you never considered for evaluating an OS.

This cell is one of my BEST buy, I have nothing to complain about it,what to say else! Battery life 36 hrs on normal conversation use, And 12-18 hrs on heavy use like net and gaming.I am a medical professional and I need my phone in proper working condition every minute, which is provided by moto g2.
*Besides battery life, its screen is very clear and protected, even when u go out in sun
                          * its speaker is so good dat u have no pblm in hearing at crowded places or buses etc, though u may need to reduce the speaker volume in silent surroundings
                          * looks wise also its great, its so designed that it looks sleak ,bit thick from centre, bt u will never come to knw about it when in hand, its only a scale measurement
                          * dual sim excellent working, no sim card slot pblm at all.
                          * camera quality very good, also nice for selfies and videochat
I myself read about 1000 reviews about nokialumia725,Asus,gionee p?4?,xiomi,samsung,in this mid range series, bt sm have bttry pblm,sm have irritating camera, while some have
                          Sim slot pblm
With MOTO G2 ALL IS WELL

I'm using Lumia 625 since a year.it's really awesome and very fast.the battery life is very impressive. Still I didn't face any problem with my device.there might be lack of apps in win store but Microsoft is updating apps always.
No lags no hangings no any issues. Solute to winos. Before this I used to have a grand duos.I was very much frustrated with that.
Now I love winOS. Just love it.

It is our fortune that microsoft failed to penetrate into mobile market with their windows os. Again our good time that we see in desktop arena also microsoft is failing. microsoft tried to sue(like they do in USA even for coughing!) Linux out of the world! but failed. Android is a weakened version of Linux kernel and it still is better. iOS based on BSD is like sibling for android. Yes, yes UNIX is recapturing markets both embedded, mobile and even Desktop(OS X, Ubuntu, Fedora distros in particular). So, please try to learn more about Microsoft, the monopoly and how they event tie hardware vendors preventing installation or shipping other os like Linux distributions. yes, Android FTW! YMMV
