Two shortcomings I realised only after purchase:
1) does not support 5 GHz Wi-fi
2) no gyros

I just purchased the Moto G 3rd Ed. w/ a CDMA provider.
Overall, it's a great phone, well engineered, just the right size and responsive to commands.
The only problem I'm having is fringe area reception, but that's due to the carrier network, not the phone, as I end up roaming a lot.
Believe it's a real sleeper and for the price does all that I need, great camera too.
IF one is a heavy duty user, then a faster processor might be needed, but for the average user, this is a fine product.
I added a 32gb sim and have plenty of memory now.
Motorola products are well made and reliable.

Hey everyone!!! anyone can say anything, but i will say moto g3 is the best option for all human beings. It is really a good package phone for its price. Iam a moto g3 owner and it makes my day fulfilled everytime. An ipx7 rating at this price range is really awsome. Humans u need a phone that can do all your daily needs in a single hand. Moto g3 has almost every thing u need, believe me. If you buy it u will never put it down.
It has amazing battery (around 6 hrs a day), good camera, excellent sound, good screen (not better in this price segment, but not bad too), good call quality, simple and powerful ui (almost pure android), faster updates (marshmallow is coming), easy to handle in one hand.
All the above means a perfect partner for a human. Humans u are paying your hard earned money for huge phones which is going to be outdated soon now. Use your money wisely and live well. Buy a moto g3 make it as you like and enjoy your wholeday!!!

Anjali, 03 Nov 2015I want 2 buy a nw phn,, & m confused btwn moto g3 n mi... moreMi 4i better only in Display having full hd but Moto G 3rd gen only hd display.But performance wise Moto G 3rd gen much better than Mi 4i.Moto G 3rd a lag free Android experience on the other hand Mi UI rom over the Android in Mi 4i it's a heavy UI and consumes more ram out of 2gb ram hardly 400mb free for the user.Moto G 3rd gen running with Stock Android out of 2gb 1.3 gb free for the user.Mi 4i having superior processes SD 615 and Moto G 3rd gen SD 410 but surprisingly there is hardly any difference I had found in the performance between Moto G 3rd gen & Mi 4i even Moto G 3rd gen perform much better than Mi 4i while performing multi task,so no.of cores doesn't matter.Performance always comprises Software along with Hardware.Apps crasing problem also fond in Mi 4i.But Moto G 3rd is capable in handling most of the daily task without lag and crashes of apps.For smooth Android experience and better battery backup you can trust over Moto G 3rd gen.Mi 4i is not the quality product in its 1st lot Mi 4i comes with Sony sensor camera then after they provide Samsung sensor in Mi 4i camera, heating badly.

Moto G is really nice handset...
But In India Moto Service Is VERY BAD...
Battary Replacement is not avaleble in All Service Centers.... They Do not Care ... If Battary will Dead after 3 years Then There is no option to Replace battary...
Moto G is best in class... Sony service is better Than Motorola Mobility...

All features are OK but one of the negative point Battery is fixed - non removable . If some one face any battery related issue then it's a gone case
