Expensive much. Two years isn't that old, I kept my Moto g first gen for 3 years before upgrading

I have had this phone for 18 months and had no problems with it, updated to the latest OS. Just wish I had purchased it with more memory, but when you upgrade it to 6.0 you have the option of having adopted memory which will expand the memory to the size of the memory card you put in it. Overall great phone, good pictures for the money. Just purchased a Moto g4+ for my wife.

But two of them one of them had a complete system failure you just send it back to Motorola and they will flash a new operating system and Will Repair the failure second phone is starting to have similar issues

Naman, 02 Feb 2017Just received the january security update was on october be... moreIf you absolutely insist on a Nougat build, there are LineageOS (formerly Cyanogenmod) builds (version 14). That said, Nougat sucks. I rolled my G3 back to CM12 (equivalent to Lollipop 5.1.1), which has better battery life and leaves more space on the already-small internal storage.
If you're not interested in a specific 7.0 feature, is it really an upgrade? I say no. Neither was 6.0, IMO.

Then it got extremely ... moreSounds more like you've abused the port with an old cable that's deformed from your last phone, or you dropped it while plugged in. The theoretical lifespan for a Micro USB plug on *any* device is only 500 insertions (!), so if you plug it in 5 times a day, this could also be your problem.
Be nicer to your phone!

Tilly, 02 Feb 2017I have the same problem. This is the biggest piece of junk ... moreFormat your SD card on a PC to "FAT" file format (less than 2Gb), "FAT32" (between 2Gb and 32Gb) or "exFAT" (if greater than 32Gb). Of course, don't do this until you save the data on the card first!

The Sony was way better the Samsung's are better . I can't transfer my pics to SD storage even after several YouTube tutorials. And forget about multi tasking on this phone.

Please I need help,bought this phone less than a month ago but am already regretting.I tend to lose everything when the phone goes off and I on it later,my pictures, contacts ,it's like it restarts and oh,what's this 'demo mode' cos I've tried several times to take it off but it comes back when the phone goes off.Am desperate,plus it doesn't recognize the external memory

Using this phone since launch,the last update we get is the october security patch (no nougat),its smooth and fast but no point in buying a 2 year old phone now remember to get the latest device and keep it updated. The Moto g 2017 is on its way wait for it or else get the xiaomi devices they are great.
