In the specs there is a 16gb version. Did motorola announced a 16gb version?

This device is "LTE" for the USA. It was designed for the USA because the Moto G sold better in the USA than Motorola expected. USA users complained that the only drawbacks were lack of LTE and expandable storage. Since Motorola is based in the USA, they listened to what the people wanted and designed the LTE version for the USA. It's similar to how Samsung and LG both release certain devices primarily for the locals. :)

Wow, why this phone is so expansive in USA. Some canadian stores like futureshop actually sell it for 122$ w/o any contract.
