It's good except for the camera. I have no problem getting 2 days out of it, even with 9 hrs. or more of screen-on time. That is on wifi & in a cool environment though, so YMMV.

can anyone tell me how to turn off the google "tap to Speak" when I try to text? I want to type but cannot close this to get a keyboard. Xfinity mobile said it cannot be turned off and I find that hard to believe.
          Thank you in Advance.

Anonymous, 25 Sep 2021The Moto G Play 2021 is good. If you can get the AT&T v... more...why? Just get a job. Why spend only $50 on something you use hours a day just to be annoyed constantly by it?

joe nodden, 11 Jan 2021Why. Just release something good already. The Moto G Play 2021 is good. If you can get the AT&T variant for $50 at Walmart or Target it's GREAT. Everything about the phone is good accept the camera. I don't take or post many pictures so to me it's not a big deal. I came from a flagship LG G7 and this phone is just as smooth and fast and has a much bigger screen and MUCH bigger battery that lasts 3-4 days. The camera on the LG was much better though.

Just recently got this phone. Quite a unique device from what I've had before. Lots of customization and personalization options, good battery life, and I love the color of it. So far, I have no complains, and I would recommend it if you're in the market for a phone of its price.

                  Note for US buyers:

Price raised to $99 at Walmart, but still $49.99 at Target at this time .... AT&T branded model.

Have been using mine as a glorified tablet and other auxillary use such as Roku remote etc, it's been working very well imho.

Have not tried any wifi-calling apps yet.

Anonymous, 26 Aug 2021$50.00 AT&T Prepaid at Walmart. will work on MVNO'... moreI did the same thing when my oneplus 6 duo screen broke. I'm on cricket and i swapped sin cards no issue. I figured it was a gamble but the odds are the sim would work outta the box . The oneplus was a great phone. It's fast enough and does the job until I can get a nicer phone. I do love the 5000mah battery I can be on it most of the day and it not sweat one bit.

$50.00 AT&T Prepaid at Walmart. will work on MVNO's that run on the AT&T network. Phone runs smooth overall, more than enough power under the hood for the average user. Nice big screen which looks fine, but has a slight pinkish or reddish hue to it and doesn't get nearly as bright as my old Moto E5 Play, nor are the viewing angles as good. In short the three year old Moto E5 Play has a nicer screen. The camera is a BIG let down. It's pretty much terrible in anything but bright light. I'm shocked how bad it is. The Moto E5 Play is not only a lower-end phone, it's also three ears older, but the camera is no worse than the camera on the Moto G Play 2021. For $50 the phone is well worth it, but I would never pay full unlocked price of $179 for this phone because of the camera. There are other phones on the market in the under $200 price range with much better cameras.

The G Fast was not in that price range when it was still in production.

$49 at Walmart but it's locked to specific carriers, AT&T and Cricket i believe. You can also purchase a 2 year protection plan for only $7, includes cracks and spills (!) and can be purchased after the fact from within your Walmart account. Mine is still in it's Cricket branded box, will be using it as a tablet only. Yea it's smaller than most tablets but it's a big phone, and good luck finding an inexpensive tablet with specs like this and 2 year protection for only $7. I also wanted to experiment with my Google Voice account to see what it can do on this type of setup.

Honestly, I have used every phone brand that I am aware of, and Samsung has not been "all that" let me tell you. I've actually had more duds that were samsungs, straight out of the box, then ever a Motorola...just sayin'. The only problem I have ever had with ANY Motorola phone, has been due to user injury, breakage, etc. &/or carrier b.s. ...back it up before you attempt to slack it up...& grow up child 🚸
