I have the phone myself and it doesn't feel like metal but, Motorola's website specifies the frame being made of aluminum. Maybe, Motorola put an extra coating on it? Regardless, this phone is excellent and a good upgrade over last year's G7 Power. They hit it out of the park with this one.

The specs listed on gsmarena say the frame is aluminum, Motorola's website also says it's aluminum. but none of the reviewers I watched that had a review unit ever mentioned the build quality. So is it actually aluminum?

hh01, 28 Apr 2020You might be able to use a faster charger but that doesn't ... moreyes im aware the global version has 15w charging. so this phone really only supports 10w charging? even on the moto website it says so, but then several people are saying they are getting "turbo charge" on their g powers while using other higher watt chargers and its charging faster

Turbo charging: because the battery is large, it can accept more current than a small battery. So, in a short charge time you get more use time. Though it will still take 3 hours for a full charge like everyone else's Lithium-ion batteries.

You might be able to use a faster charger but that doesn't mean it is charging any faster.
The global version "G8 Power" comes with a 15w charger.

Just got the new Motor G Power and yes, to my surprise, it does support turbo charging. I use the charging brick from my Moto G4 Plus. The phone operates very smooth and the camera is better than I expected, bet $225 I've spent Inna long time.

Very decent budget phone, it does support tubro charging to all i did was use my G7 Power charger and it works just fine. Very fast charging

This phone would've been the perfect budget phone if it came with sd712 or 730g. There would be nothing I could ask for more for the price but sd665 is bit outdated n doesn't stack well for the competition with other phones

Anonymous, 29 Mar 2020It has not even been released you liarI have this phone. April 16 2020 (bought at best buy for 250 USD/FRN). pretty decent. camera is a bit slow and pictures tend to the blurry side and has some focus issues.
its not a google or apple leval camera but its ok for the price point.

The previous commenter is getting mixed up between the two.
