It's not about what consumers care, but it's about how manufactures (sorta) brainwash consumers in the name of marketing.

Why doesnt Motorola release a nice compact phone 160g with 145mm X 70mm form factor?

                      IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT "SMART CONNECT:"

I was told that the US variant of this phone doesn't have it.

S I R E, 23 Feb 2025Where is the power? The Moto G Power Series began in 2019, following the release of the 2018 Moto One Power.

The Power phones all had a huge, for the time, 5000 mAh battery.
Back then, the standard phones had a much smaller battery of 3000 - 3400 mAh.
Now, many phones have 5000 mAh and some larger and the Power series is kind of not power anymore...

The Moto G 15, 24 & 54 Power phones, all have a 6000mAh battery, but 2 of them have a weak Mediatec 12 nm processor, probably always revving to the max.
This Moto G Power 2025 probably should have had a 6000 mah battery as well, but it has a very energy efficient Mediatec 6300, albeit a little slower than the 2024 Power with the Mediatec 7020.

S I R E, 23 Feb 2025Where is the power? The RAM is double the standard Moto G, multitasking must be the Power reference. At the price the CMF phone 1 is cheaper with similar/ better performance.

Anonymous, 21 Feb 2025Why does it give two IP ratings?IP68 tells you that the phone can survive a complete submersion up to 1.5 meters for about 30 mins. It is the highest normal IP rating under normal contidions.

IP69 usually means the phone can survive a higher temperature of water either submerged or sprayed.
There is no way to tell without the suffix however. If it is temperaturw it says IP69K. Temperature is the most common so brands choose not to specify. Other letters like M, D, O etc signify protection against jet streams, oil and more. I don't remember all but that's it.

Keep in mind that most ratings are only tested with fresh water salt or sea water is more corrosive and no amount or rating other than certified WR-(insert number here) will give you any level of warranty behind the product. WR stands for water resistant and is most common found in wrist watches.

                                  Where is the power?

Hard to know in advance what you'll get when you order a device that isn't actually supported in your location. Fortunately Amazon seems to have taken it back without complaint.

Another moto garbage phone! In todays fast pace life, 2.4Ghz is NOT enough. What a waste of precious metals!!
