I'm a lover of big screen phones. My last Motorola phone was Motorola one 5G Ace. It came with android 10 and managed to update to 11. It never got 12 to make it 2 years st least. No security updates despite me contacting Motorola. There has always been complaints about them not updating their phones. That phone was strong and very affordable.
Question now is how do we know this Moto G power will get security updates for a few years snd new android OS for at least 3 years or 4
I don't have money to spend on expensive Samsung or pixel. I don't like phone carrier contracts..i buy unlocked straight from manufacturer

If only the G Power had come out with IP68 last year, when I needed to upgrade. I would've snapped it up immediately. The fact that this still only has IPS LCD instead of POLED is slightly disappointing, but all the other features (including the toughness) and the low price practically makes the regular Moto G 2025 obsolete.

I only hope that the Moto G Stylus for 2025 also is IP68 and extra tough. That would make it THE phone to get from Motorola for most people. I have a moto G Stylus 2024 right now and the only thing I'd add to it is an IP67 or 68 rating. I love the fact that Motorola kept the headphone jack in the G series too.

My Moto G Power 5G 2024 has updated to Android 15 contrary to a previous comment.

I have had a few moto phones and never again, anything moto makes now is garbage! While most phones were upgrading to android 14, moto is still stuck on android 13, unless you buy a 2025 phone. Lenovo took over motorola and completely messed it up!

Anonymous, 24 Jan 2025Idk, I've never had a phone with esim, this phone does... moreWhat do you mean by it not having e-sim support? Motorola lists e-sim support in the specs at least. Also, a while back my carrier somehow screwed up my physical sim and it stopped working. Chatted with support a few times and they said that "technicians" are working on it. And everytime, took almost a week, I chatted with support they asked me if I could switch to e-sim instead as my phone would then start working instantly. But sadly my Op Nord 2 doesn't support e-sim so that was a no go. Never again I'm gonna buy a phone without friggin e-sim support. Hopefully EU will soon enforce phones to support e-sim. No e-sim no buy.

                                    Average Benchmarks:
                                    MediaTek Dimensity 7020 - Baseline 100% - Moto G Power (2024)
                                    MediaTek Dimensity 6300 - 84% - Moto G Power (2025)
                                    MediaTek Dimensity 7300 - 107% - Could've been an upgrade for G Power (2025)

Both the 6300 & 7300 are 4nm SoC's and should use less power, while the 7020 is older and 6nm.
