They've doubled the price from last year's model from $150 to $375 with only 1 extra OS update?
Samsung Galaxy S36 has the same chipset and screen size but offers 6 Major Android OS updates.

-, 08 Apr 2025This is the Edge 60 Stylus right?Looks very similar, even specs, except from what I can find on the web, Edge 60 comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor. This one, on the other hand, comes with Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, so, a downgrade in comparison, but, Gen 3 of 6 uses Adreno 710 and so does Gen 2 of 7, as far as I can tell. The phones must be meant for different markets.

I am excited about this phone, and I check out phone news quite often and just didn't see the ultimate choice (for me), until now. The features per price are all perfect for this phone, except the ultra-wide camera is on a weak end (coming from Pixel 9 Pro), and is regrettable. But, I used Motorola in the past and want to get a second phone, and this sounds like a perfect opportunity. I was impressed with Motorola's quality of the speakers' sound before--it was so crisp and good, even in a 14 nm phone that I had. When I went for Pixel 9 Pro I liked everything about it except of no Snapdragon modem and horrible muffled sound quality. The frequency response cut-off is horrible in Pixels on the high side--at around 16kHz! I might even consider selling Pixel 9 Pro and keep Moto G Stylus 5G 2025 as a daily driver. Impress me Motorola and don't skimp on updates. If we can't get LG40-60 audio DAC quality anymore, at least we can indulge in Moto's Dolby goodness. I just hope the optical fingerprint reader is not going to cause problems like Pixels' did before they upgraded them to ultrasonic ones for 9 Pros.
