I have no idea why Motorola seems to be against added 4K 60Fps to their phones, only a couple have them.

This going to be best flagship ggrade device i the market. Mark my words.
And because its made by Lenovo it wont get as much pricey as Samsung or Sony or Apple flagships and will have much more and much better specs for lower price.

good specs but brightness is less than required in flagship

                  1) 98% of smartphones today still have a selfie hole, so your point is rather paradoxical.
                  2) C'mon now. Are waterfall displays annoying to use? Yes. Should they chill with the curves? Yes. But they are anything but associated with the adjectives "dated" and "ancient". The entire reason why companies choose to use it is because it looks modern.

babak, 19 Feb 2022its only a rumored phone but im sure it has terrible batterylife.Motorola rarely makes phones with poor battery life, even Edge 20 with 4000mah battery lasts for two days.

looks like they had to cut costs on the display no ?

Bruh why make a 194MP sensor if you're only gonna make it 1/1.5"

I think that is enough. :) The 12 MP mode would be used in low light. And there is the S22 Ultra, with that full res shots are now amazing! You can not even compare the S21 U with it, because the S22 U simply destroys it, I have seen some video so I know what I am talking about.

Mobilemaster, 19 Feb 2022It might produce 48.5 MP images, or around 12 MP according ... moreIf anything and anyHO, we need 16MP or 20MP ~ 24MP end results. Quad bauyer or plain rgb i dont care. I am sick of the 12 MP photo's. With todays high res laptops and tablets and 4k tv's its really nice when there is some crop possibities.

The LG V30 had , a small sensor with 16MP that was fun: it really worked and there was a lot of detail, not mentioning imperfect rendering, etc, but still. Heck i even came across some midrangers from Nokia that had 16MP and it worked: more detail then 12MP sensors).

I even am ok with sacrificing night photography quality as long as the daylight samples have more MP! And here it is, i think i found one cause for all these 12MP high end sensors; they all have to survive the night shot battles so they need the bigger pixel size.
The ultra wide camera's should be equipped with these kind of high res, yet small sensors (ok bigger is even better) but we always see 8 MP 10 MP etc ultra wide. NOT nice when shooting landscapes, city scapes with so much going around!

I ordered an S22 and its main camera is designed to output 12,5 MP photo's.
I hope the 50 MP high res mode is worth it on it as is it is still only a quad bayer upsampled result. (quad bayer high res mode is from the pixel binned low res result combined with the high res photo sensors info, not comparable to true high res RGB sensor, wich have obviously a way more huge size when they have 40 - 60 MP (sony mirrorless, canon R5 etc) , they are full frame size actually, or have 32MP apsc like the Canon 90D )

How much mega pixles do you need?
                                This company: yes!

mawlki, 19 Feb 2022i guess soIt might produce 48.5 MP images, or around 12 MP according to some older rumors. So it may be 48.5x4 or 12.1x16 so it is not necessary a nona-cell(9 binning) method.

Other thing I can think of is that Moto doesn't want this phone to be crazy expensivee, but a useless 2mp macro or depth camera wouldn't look good on a phone like this, so instead they chose a cheap 2x tele.
