Just had the phone delivered to me ten minutes ago, and he screen has a vast white point colour shift on the slightest angle. It's so bad, it's anxiety inducing.

Here we have lower taxes than India, motorola is made here.
Still we pay 2x compared to India.
Edge Fusion here is about $500. Even more than what Europe may pay.
Ultra is equivalent to 950 euros.

The camera is actually good, storage and games too, but can they actually please have a camera with at least 64 mp's or higher? I can't stand these cameras anymore, everytime my phone gets shaky the quality is horrible.

nordic wood - 16gb / 1tb = £849
peach fuzz is not available yet and forest black is the same price as above.
16 / 1tb is the only storage option currently available.
it's not as high as some 16/1tb phones out there but it's still pretty high

Despite me wanting a phone with an SD card slot and a larger battery, everything else here looks nice. This phone (hopefully without the AI stuff at 500) was my next choice, coming from a 5 year old phone.
If I am wrong, then my apologies. But I would expect the extra work for the AI would cost more, unless that AI is planning on data harvesting to be sold. LLM training is still very expensive.

What breadbrowser is actually saying, is that the x50 ultra (Chinese variant, with hello ai) is priced at 500 euros, whereas the edge 50 ultra (the global variant without system-wide AI) is priced at 1000 euros.
This is as insane as overpricing can get for releasing a variant of the phone (that too a slightly less functional one) outside of china.

So Moto trying to get 1000 for it is quite egregious. If this phone has better cameras and a mostly clean ROM, then the 500 price point become much more reasonable. Charging an extra 500 USD for features that most people will likely not use or even notice for a chipset that some phones come with for less than 300 bucks... It is blatant price gouging over a pre-baked trend. AI is not ready yet for most PCs, let alone phones. That's what got to me. I can purchase a 500 dollar dGPU for my computer that would destroy anything they will shoe-horn in for that phone with AI
