Display - very sharp & crystal clear. Battery durability is more than good! Camera capture is ok in sufficient to moderate light conditions, but not so good in darker state. RAM is sufficient for normal operation.Gaming is considerably good. 4G performance in both slots are excellent.I never faced any lagging or hang. Generates some heats during charging and prolonged video. But, this is a common problem for almost all smartphones...
I have updated my Moto from Lollipop to Marshmallow and the set is working super-fine !
So, I can recommend this as a very user-friendly mobile handset.

Anonymous, 20 Oct 2016its a serious kind of problem, at the time of charging phon... moreThis problem could be caused if you haven't done hard reset after MM update.
It also could indicate that some apps that are running in the background is using a lot of resources. Personally I don't have facebook nor it's messenger and use chrome with Request desktop site feature enabled to access facebook. Try disabling apps that you don't use. Al tho be careful when doing so as you could disable an app that other apps is dependent on, would make your device do some crazy stuff as occasional or constant force stopping of an app like launcher, settings, contacts, play store and many others. Mainly this is caused due to disabling google play services, but there are other apps too, so if you're unsure about the app don't disable app. If you do find yourself in that uncomfortable situation when apps is force closing. You can try accessing settings from the pull down bar, and enabling some apps or factory reseting your phone. If you do find yourself in a situation where you can no longer access setting you'll have to do hard reset, but first you should try backing up your documents to your computer or SD card if possible.

If you have flashed a custom rom you should try installing official firmware or other rom.
If you have rooted your phone and over-clocked it, or changed a governor of cpu, then you should try decreasing voltage. But not to the limit as this could lead to your device being really really laggy, trust me you don't want that to happen as these changes are permanent and factory or hard reset would not help. The only option would be to flash stock firmware or custom rom. If you have changed a governor of your CPU then you should change it to on demand. As this governor is working on full when needed and not all the time, it should go easy on your cpu, alternatively I'd suggest to use power saving governor as you don't use your phone a lot and your battery is draining fast. I am sure that you would know these things if you would have rooted your phone or had flashed a custom rom, but just in case.

You should take your phone for servicing to replace your battery as this phone has to hold at least a full day on a single charge. I had put it on a test earlier on where it was on idle most of the time with disabled apps that I don't use and it's score was 8 days. So yes, I do suggest you to replace your battery and do the above steps to optimize overall performance and battery life.

If none of that helps then you could go to your local servicing shop to swap your phone for other one. This would probably be the best option as they will definitely know what to do with it, just have in mind that highlighting the problems will drop the price, so be prepared to pay some extra cash.

Chand, 19 Oct 2016My phone sound is not coming what to doHave you tried to play anything through the headphones?
You could try to hard reset your phone and see if that helps.
If neither of those work and you have your phone rooted and messed with it, it should be software fault and flashing stock firmware or custom rom would do the trick, otherwise it should be hardware fault.

Earlier on I had a phone and while playing basketball I dropped it on a ground, sound stopped working, nor headphone jack, nor speakers were working. I took it to the local shop for servicing and they said that changing the motherboard will do the trick as sound cord was ripped. I count it as unrecoverable because usually motherboards are pricier than phones themselves and it's cheaper to buy a new phone than replace a motherboard.

I also had messed up one of my earlier devices by flashing custom roms. The custom rom that I flashed ,messed up my baseband and I couldn't use neither of the speakers, nor call to someone as my IMEI was corrupted. Luckily I was not the only one who had the same problem and was advised to flash a right baseband. It worked like a charm.

More often than not they increase overall performance of the device and fix some issues. I used to flash custom roms on my every single phone. Now I don't.
                                      Just have in mind that:
-Custom roms can compromise your privacy.
-By the end of flashing custom rom to your device, you will have void your warranty 3-4 times.
-There's a small chance of soft/hard bricking your device.

If you're not sure what custom rom is have a deep research on it.

                                        I have three questions:
                                        1) whether Moto X Play has FM radio with recording.
                                        2) whether its capacity of internet speed is 50/150 mbps or it is less
