I know you never get full storage capacity but it shoes as :- Total memory- 16gb, Available memory- 14gb. OK? It never shows total memory as 14 gb. Morover... it shouldn't show.

I bought a moto x play on 5th April 2016. I cannot hear anything from the headset. It actually does not go properly inside the socket. Not sure whether it's the phone or just the hands free that gas the issue

Prem, 06 Apr 2016I purchased Motorola X Play (Turbo) through flipkart and it... moreIts normal Like If U purchase a 16 gb sd card it will give u storage of about 14.something gbs thats bcoz technically 1Gb = 1024mbs usually companies take a round figure while creating memory/storage like they take around 1gb = 1000 mbs or so to give u rough idea calculation
(16000,000,000) in byes divide by (1024x1024x1024) output in Gigabytes = 14.9gb out of that some memory is reserved and out of that 14 gb u get around 11-10 gb for usage this same calculation goes for SD Card , RAM etc etc almost all storage devices. Hope that helps.

I purchased Motorola X Play (Turbo) through flipkart and it is delivered to me on 4th April 2016. As per specification it should have 16 GB internal memory. However in my phone, it is showing total memory as 11 GB only and usable memory 10.0 something.
Please clarify how to take it up with Motorola.

If you care about rooting/custom ROMs it's a good choice as Moto is very developement-friendly. Performance is great, not flagship-great but still. It's around 100 (UK) pounds cheaper than Nexus 5X, but in many ways better - 1000 mAh battery more and much nicer design (Nexus just feels cheap, sorry). Great mid-high range phone that will serve you for next couple of years, if you're not a hardcore gamer who needs massive CPU and RAM. You can also expect Android updates till 2017, maybe 2018.

If a phone has some internal problem, its better to get it done from outside other than the service centre... The service centres are only meant for problems related with software issues...

This trick once worked for my friend

I have updated my Moto x play with Marshmellow update 6.0.1. Now I am Facing problem with the Home Screen and recent app button...noth stop responding,
The notifications are also not coming. it worked fine after update of 6.0.1 for a month but now its horrible...the locking pattern is not shown... I dont know how may other problems are there... any one to help on the same.. please dont update marshmellow 6.0.1.

I bought a Moto X Play in October 2015. it was well functioning for the initial three months. soon in the begining of February the phone was encountered with the problem of bettery charging. Though it had been shown charging it never reaches beyond 7%. i have tried reboot several times and ended up in depositing the phone with a Service Center in Kerala on 10 Feb 2016. and it is April 04th 2016 i have'nt get back my device. Even after repeated enquiry they are not able to give me a final date. it seems the spares has not yet dispatched to the service center. it is really an awful and disappointing support form the Moto. SO friends when you go for a Motorola Mob please consider the Service Side is irresponsible and Pathetic. please cautious dont get cheated.
