Motorola is poor at fixing bugs, which the phone is fully loaded of... Had a very bad experience when it was on 6.0... Don't know about 6.0.1... But acc to the performance with 6 I sincerely won't recommend this phone

I have both the devices j7 is a good phone , battery , performance and camera is also good but lacks in sensors , speaker is not loud and moto x play has better camera , speaker and battery is also good yes gets warm a bit while using and playing games but thats ok still a good phone ... if u r ok with lack of sensors and speaker go for j7 or get x play .

hey guys i am going to buy new phone in next wk please suggest me between j7 and moto x play.. i read in the comment most of the people were saying x play heats alot while gaming brwosing and while charging too .. what about after sale service of moto ??..

Yes no doubt it is a great phone......one the best in its prize range.
Pros-
Has a great camera.
Has a excellent display.
Has a great battery(only i am talking about standby mode).
Has a very attractive design.
Has some great feature s like double twist to open camera and moto x play.
Has a very fast processor.
Great sound(absolute crystal and clear).
In total it is an excellent phone for its price range......but ever coin has two sides and this phone has too two side a good and bad.......so now coming on to cons-
It has a excellent battery but only for standby mode.
The biggest default i notice in this device is its software errors....i think for this price range device it is totally unacceptable.Something apps like uc browser and Google play store crashes without any reason.
Sometimes when i saved some contact no. And after a while i check the contacts are automatically deleted.......sometimes the phone automatically moves to mute mode not only that after updating phone to 6.0.1 many games like NFS Airborne and call of duty are not opening.
But overall a great phone but with a lausy software

I picked the Moto X Play because of it's superior camera / dual-flash, Monster battery and front speaker + NFC. If you have small hands, it might be better handled. Some ppl on this board spreading nonsense about X Play's "heating issue" which is a fictional phenomenon and does not exist IRL, Trust me, I own this phone since November, 2015!

Please tell me whether I should buy this phone or not. Because I've heard a lot of issues like heating problem, camera not working etc etc. Is it worth the money?

I have had it for around 3 months, it works excellent, better than iphone 6, S6, Z3, Z4 (signal), all those only with the battery kill them. Photos during the day are like wallpapers, excellent, but during the night not as good as desired but still great.
Cons, I think only night photos.
Pros, Battery, Day camera more than excellent, great with games.

Ranju, 24 Mar 2016I am using this phone since Dec and I am extremely happy wi... moreu can play heavy games with x play but the con is that u will notice some frame drops and lags ... but it will not effect the game itz bcoz 615 soc can't handle 1080p display that well in gaming
