harry, 23 Feb 2016Just restore the phone it will be back to lollipop... that's not how it works. you have to flash the whole lollipop firmware.

[deleted post]I've seen you posting since this phone first came out defending it now slamming it.. Do you have buyer's remorse buddy? Some of your comments seem.. well off. Like about the battery life,I'm a heavy user and I get through a day of work (9 hours) with 70%-65% battery left, that's terrific and the best I've ever seen. To compare my first gen Moto G would have 40-30% left with the same usage. As for the back grip wearing off after a week I also call BS. If you don't like your phone sell it.. However judging by your posts your the OCD type and will complain about it too within a few months.

Addy, 23 Feb 2016What do you think between this phone and samsung a8?The A8 is very superior to this phone, but it also has the premium pricing as compared to moto x play.... It will be good to invest in the A8 than the moto x play ( if you can strech your budjet upto that )... Also you can have a look at the A7 2016...

Hi guys what is diff between moto x play and moto x play with turbo charger??? Which phone should i bought ??? I saw pics of charger but didnt get any proper diff between both model..

Review after using this phone for a month..
I had purchased this phone for 16.5k... The phone appears to be a good phone but sadly it disappointed me...
Display
Display is very good, but sometimes when the brightness is low than 35% the screen flickers ( maybe only with my unit )... Apart from this the display quality is very good and is also visible in bright sunlight..
Sound
The sound from the speaker is very good and loud.. It has required amount of bass and is the best in this range... But the main con is ( with the software ), that the speaker comes to life after a few seconds, the speaker is very low for about 2 seconds and then suddenly the sound raises... I have noticed this in the fb app and also during the calls..
Design
The design of the moto x play is okay, the back panel is of cheap quality and after about a week all the rubbery finish disappears on the phone, it becomes very slippery, just alike a phone with plastic build quality... Also the phone is bulky for a 5.5 inch phone... Also sometimes during vibrations, I have found that the vibrator is kind of loose ( maybe with my unit) but it makes some kind of noise while typing...
Camera
The camera doesn't look like a 21mp, its has the same quality as of a 13 or 16mp camera... But the flash quality is very good and we can take some good pictures even in low light... The front camera isn't upto the mark, it is quite narrow and sometimes it oversaturates the pictures...
Gaming Performance
The performance of the phone is not that great, when it was on lollipop the performance of the was pathetic for midranger, however after the marshmallow upgrade, the performance improved ( not much ), the performance is good when the phone is in normal temperature, but it starts throtlling after about 10-15 min of gaming... However the phone does not exhibit any overheating issues... The temperature of the phone rises upto 43 degrees ( critical ) when I played nova 3 for about half an hour...
Software
The software optimisations are very poor on moto x play, there is always some or the other problem with the phone... I used it for about 1 month and I count that barely there was a day when I did not found a problem and didn't have to restart the phone... The first day when I moved the .vcf file for the contacts I did not get all the contacts, manually had to save them again... Just yesterday, any new contact was not getting saved on the phone, again had to restart the phone..., another day, I jst paused the music via the google play music app and it didn't stop, again had to restart the phone...
It was the most pathetic software experience I had ever had with a smartphone...
Battery
The company says that the phone can last for two days is totally bullshit.. If you are a normal user it can last a full working day, but if you're a power user, you will have to charge your phone atleast 2 times a day or else it will get switched off in the evening..
The fast battery is charging is also shit, even if the phone is kept idle ( data off) the charging speed is only 1%/min.. Which is quite low for a phone which comes with fast charge 2.0...
Aftersales experience
The aftersales of the phone are also bad, first of all motorola doesnt have service centre in every city, same was in my city, the centre in my city bhopal, it runs combined with many brands like gionee, lenovo etc, and the service centre guys where very rude, just for a software update they kept my phone for a full day... Whereas whenever I visited a samsung service centre they would just give my phone within 20 minutes...
Overall
I would not recommend this phone to anyone, it is loaded with bugs, and not upto the mark for the price...
Another thing I would like to mention is that sometimes my primary sim used to face signal drops, the signal would just disappear and then come back only after a restart

Am using moto x play from last week i have faced one issue.
When someone calls my ringtone doesn't hear for 2-4 seconds after that it becomes normal.
If anyone facing this issue and help me to fix it.
