overall i think its a good phone.
the only thing i dont like is the moto word. i prefer motorola on it instead of moto

I hate this phone. People can’t hear me talking . Sending messages it cuts off and goes back to main screed. Picture are horrible quality. Camera button freezes up and have tho close out and go back, so I missed the picture moment

I've had the phone now for about 3months and no problems whatsoever phone is great battery life is ok but luckily I got the battery pack with is so I easily get 6hours screen time with it only problem I have is I can't find a screen protector anywhere in South Africa so I'd recommend to anyone if you plan to get this phone make sure the town your in has its accessories and cases 😂 but other than that the screen quality is awesome game play is 👌 no lag or freezing nothing it's so far the best phone I've ever had

after 7.1.1 my phone became a beast. it can last a full day with 5 hours of heavy usage

Few people mention it but what i miss the most about this phone is the weight and thickness. It’s the lightest, thinnest phone out there. Never feels heavy or strains your hand after a lot of use.

Bought a Moto z, the link problem is a nightmare. Cleared cashe over and over still no links working. Why would you inflict the public with non working features. Worst phone I have ever owned.

i have the phone for about 1 month.i have to tell you it's great value for money.you will not find an other brand phone with sd620 4gb RAM for about 300 euros.
no overheating issues even after gaming,my phone has received 2 security updates during my ownership,
battery life is not great i get 4-4.5 screen on time.but it recharges really fast it goes 80% in about 45 minutes,but i bought a powerbank so it's no more an issue for me.
moto mods are expensive gadgets ,you can get an external JBL speaker with half the cost and double watts of sound power.
and you can also use with your other devices for streaming your music.
the same goes for the battery,and the truezoom camera.

I then decided to get the Honor 9 because it's a newer and 'faster' device and I also wanted to try something new. But Honor just didn't grew up to me like Moto Z did. So in the end I decided to buy the Moto Z again. I prefered it's camera and OIS video recording. Also the gestures for camera and LED are so addictive. I love the idea of Moto mods whixh makes the phone special and everyone knows what to buy you for Christmas - a Moto Mod :-) I know it's past your purchase date but I hope this comment might be of use to someone.
