After going through all the Moto Z devices, I find that this one is the best. It has the most modern SoC, has a QHD display, and is thinner than the Z3.

I have had my Z since August of 2017 and it took a dump, literally, in the pooper this morning. So sad, but it tried to come back to life! It did some weird things, came back, was taking a charge, but the screen is frozen on the main screen. Go to get a new phone. Not a happy camper at all. I want my baby back! Looking for anything that will match the longevity of it, lightness, sound.....everything! Even looking for a reconditioned one. Going to go cry some more!

Our provider offered us a "free upgrade"....in July of 2021....to a phone that's inferior to this one. I love this phone and still use it constantly for gaming (Pokemon Go ftw). If they want me to buy a new phone they need to offer another one with this level of quality.

@Armann, It never will. 8.0 is it unless it is a Verizon phone.
Or you unlock the bootloader and install Lineage OS. You can run Android 10 (Lineage 17.1) on this phone and soon probably Android 11.
