But some users have found out that there is a thin plastic layer on top of back glass which is getting scratches and not the back glass. You just need to remove this thin layer of plastic on back glass. It seems even the back glass has Gorilla protection.

Moto Z play is not a premium handset at all… But there is glass-metal sandwich design in Moto Z play which is perfect for me. But, no Gorilla glass for back! Surprisingly get scratch with moto style mod!
Device performance is ok with latest android version… And me too using "XB50AP" with Xperia M(1st gen). I thought just like you there is no one to match the quality sound, Sony use to provide for years...
But now I can say Moto Z play is way better with XB50AP headset—really powerful output, obviously you need to install a third-party app (e.g. PowerAmp, N7 etc.). If you are looking for battery life & media then go for Moto Z play.

Hello everyone, am planning to buy a new all-round mobile with an affordable price range of 30k. I found very few to be in that list like 1+3t, honor 8, moto z. I hav little disappointment over all these, like no sd card option in 3t, glass finish which is prone to scratches and cracks h8, non premium look in mz,. Don't get me wrong I accept no device is perfect but for me these are cons. So finally I have decided to go with 1+3t sacrificing the sd option,as it kills all the high branded flagships. I still hav little worried about the audio quality via headset will satisfy me or not. Am currently using Xperia m4 aqua and xb 50 ap headset combo. As all know Sony sound quality is unmatched, but I wanna make sure the quality not poor. Bcoz am a song lover. Plz spend ur time to clarify me. Thanks in advance.

What I did was, I ran the Speaker and Hardware tests given in Device Help app. I also ran some songs at maximum volume and speaker started working fine. Another thing I did was just blow the air and suck the air near earpiece/speaker. There was no noise/buzzing sound during call after this. If anyone is facing speaker issue, they can try these tricks :)

This is my personal opinion and experince by using this phone about 3 weeks,,This is the most balanced phone ive got so far, middle processor and enough ram to do all my needs for gaming, very nice amoled display and nice wide range onf 5.5inch display. With super thin 7mm dimension, middle end camera but i didny use the camera to often but overal its good and the most important 'almost' excelent battery life , i got 7-8 hours screen on time its really balanced and well phone for its price range, i got privilege and enjoying this stuff right now, i can enjoy the phone whole day with one charge in the morning at 7am and still can be used to over 22pm and still have about 15-20% left, really well balanced phone, i like it, sony should learn this from motorola

Very Bad Experince.... :(
Phone seems fine in first place. Somehow the sim slot was not ejecting ....guess wt i went to service center Nagpur !!
The engineer over there damaged the display in opening the phone or sim slot ....No replacement till date( 30 days passed ).
Wt so ever Moto does when there is no proper service. why to waste 25k better go for samsung and one plus 3 T

I do have that phone and yet the phone is excellent and in low light? is its good also. the problem is not on the phone is you the one who used the phone.

Vishnu, 14 Feb 2017I am not trolling. It is a genuine problem faced by me. But... moreIt isn't a software issue. But it does appear across few Moto phones. I use a G4 plus. So just check if the same issue can be solved in your Moto Z Play.
I'll give you the link. Check it out. It is in Hindi. It seems very stupid, but it worked for many users. It is down to a hardware connection issue. This is the first time I found this issue from a Moto Z Play user. So please give an update if it worked for you.

Vishnu, No such problem faced by me after update to nougat. In fact, overall performance has improved. Battery backup increased by 30%. Sound quality improved. Hope u r not trolling like anonymous.
