Does anyone know if this phone can shoot RAW images with third party apps? Please someone who actually has the phone answer with their experience on using it to capture RAW photos. Also don't tell me about the hasselblad mod, I already know that takes RAW images. I'm asking about that phone itself with 3rd party RAW shooting apps like manual camera or open camera.

The camera mod's strength lies on its Xenon flash and 10x optical zoom.

Your needs and priorities may vary.

Why is there no OIS on this? Even the camera MOD doesn't have OIS and the mod has a lower resolution which also eludes me.
The phone totally cought my attention though, I just can't understand why the Moto Z has OIS and this iteration doesn't nor the camera mod.

If camera and video recording with OIS is your primary task, Please go for OnePlus 3T.

I've had the the Moto Z Play for a few days now and I love it! It is as loaded with "features and fun" as my Samsung Notes' that I have had in the past. I feel that it is a "Flagship" phone at half the price. There is nothing so far that is not high quality. For $449 it is a bargain. I had decided that it was ridiculous to pay close to $1000 for a PHONE ! So I searched hard for an option and the Z Play is it. Even if I find something not quite to my liking I wont mind as it is an awesome piece of equipment with even more features than I need at a much more reasonable price.

If you know how to use, even Moto E3 Power is a worthy choice.
If you don't know how to use, even flagships ( any brand of your choice) are a worthless choice.
