The only issue is when you receive a notification.

GaganAhuja, 11 Oct 2016what you mean? speaker is bad? come on man, it just dims the sound of the music to make you aware you got a notification, I have that same thing in my Moto X Play too, its not a problem, its actually very smart

No the speaker when you hear a music or watching a video or any other sound is OK. But only when you receive a notification (SMS, Whatsapp, Email, etc) is too low.
I saw some people faces the problem even with Moto G4 plus when they got the security update.
So it means this is a software issue.

This phone is actually cheaper in India (unlocked too) than any other place in the world. This is because it is Made In India. You can checkout the review unit sent to Geekyranjit on YouTube which says it is made in Tamil Nadu.
I for one feel happy that
1. We are getting competitive prices here in India. (Unlike the other over-priced iPhones with crazy costs and Tim Cook refusing to manufacture phones here)
2. That the phone is Make in India. I know for some this is silly. But I just feel better knowing I am supporting jobs here.
And this is in addition to the insane battery life, good quality hardware and an optimised unit which runs as good as a flagship and is tailor-made for the Indian market with the dual sim and SD card slot.
